    Interlocking "ND" logo

    True, North Dakota used it first to use in commerce, but unfortunately, the university failed to register the trademark. Notre Dame then used the logo and registered it as its trademark. The key is that Notre Dame registered the mark and North Dakota did not.

    Basically, the rule is that if a mark is registered, that entity gets nationwide protection except where another entity already uses the mark. So, even though Notre Dame used it second, by registering it Notre Dame wins. But, North Dakota can still use the interlocking logo in the same manner that it did prior to Notre Dame registering the mark (probably limited to use within North Dakota or related only to UND apparel). It's all related to the geographic location and how it's used in commerce as well.

    Dear Fighting Sioux fan base,

    It's me, Diggler. As you probably know, I was in Houghton this past weekend. I had such a great time while I was there. Also while I was there, I had a change in heart. Effective immediately, I am no longer a Sioux fan. From now on, I will be a Michigan Tech Huskies fan. Their fan base is so much better than ours. Sioux Yeah Yeah has agreed to convert along with me. Is anyone else interested in coming?

    I will continue to go to Sioux games at home. The only difference is that when Michigan Tech comes around, I will be cheering for them. Also, I heard MeanEgirl is coming back this January. When she gets here, we should all shower her with gifts and presents and money. We should make her our queen.

    But that is all I have to say for now. I will leave you with one picture... as proof that I am now and will forever be a Michigan Tech fan.

    I called out to the Whittemore Center today. At this time they don't know when individual tickets will go for sale but by the end of the week they should know when the tickets will go up for sale. I'll be calling back later... :ohmy:

    Last year when we (siouxnami and I) went to the Maine games we got tickets through Maine. You just need to keep calling back. I think it took about 6 hours to finally get through and get standing room only tickets.

    "Bochenski is mentioned as the winner in this week's Sports Illustrated On Campus issue", according to the Herald. I believe there is a separate weekly issue on campus that is different from the monthly issue. Not 100% on that though.

    That is correct. I have a copy of the SI on Campus issue. SI on Campus comes out every Thursday with some school newspapers.
