  1. If I remember from last time using the online view feed. It has a limit on the number of connections to view the feed. And I remember, I had to keep refreshing to get it because there were so many people viewing the webcast.

Dunno if that is the case but it may be?

  2. I was low also (45) on the traxis, but some fine tuning got me to 71. Do you have a traxis?

I got an old satworks unit, with the .3db lnb upgrade on a 75cm fixed dish. kinda perplexed as to how to adjust the skew. just give the lnb a twist? off to the yard to tinker.

I'm actually using my old dish, the other one is pointed on the normal location and I didnt want to mess with it. Its on a 3 foot pole in a bucket of cement in my front yard. pretty sad looking.

  3. Echostar 9 - 121 w

Sioux feeds been up for around 20mins!

I got it, but 20 "signal points" lower than the superdish welcome screen. Is it common practice to turn up the juice once the actual broadcast starts?Or I should I hope it don't rain. (I'm at 37, a 35 is unwatchable)

  4. the sound pops in and out. I've done the audio feed switching (R, L, Stereo). I've reset the reciever and re-blind scanned. same result. luckily FSRM has tonights game. looks like yet ANOTHER saturday project.

BTW any clue what's up with all the Steelers ads on FSRM? not that I mind. --One for the OTHER thumb!!

  5. I too am in west metro of MSP (NW corner of the loop) and also use a satworks 3618 on a fixed dish. On Sunday I was locked in around 48 with little variance. I had 2 very brief hiccups during the game that may have been the feed itself. I use an old Directway dish and lnb (that I got from PSB) as an upgrade from a 75cm dish.

Prior to my current dish, I upgraded the LNB on the 75cm dish to a low noise unit. It gained me several "points" of signal strength. I've noticed over the years that on my Satworks a signal of 36 gives an annoying picture, 37 no problem, 35 is unwatchable, and 34....forget it. If you were fluctuating down to 36 on Sunday, I would defintely look to make a "fix"--whatever that may entail. My thought is to fix it now rather than when its 10 degrees.

  6. Iceberg,

I've repointed my dish, but I'm not getting anything over 45 on the signal meter (Satworks 3618 receiver w/ Direct PC dish). Most signals come in around 38-40. Is that "ballpark" ? I aimed it during perfectly clear weather and took my time doing it (messing with all 3 axis).

Secondly, I have a superfluous dish (35cm w/ .3dB lnb). any recommendations of a good satellite to point that at (to maximize Sioux/college hockey reception, or perhaps just has a bunch of "stuff")? Neither dish is motorized and I have DTV w/ full sports pack already.

Lastly, I don't know if satellite stuff is your hobby, profession or both, but thank you for your info and contributions to this forum over the years.

  7. the first official schedule of FSSN broadcasts I saw was in mid August last year. However, seeing as they've always done home games, I think the more important question is if they are again broadcasting this season on FTA. I'd be completely crushed if not and I'm not trying to start a rumor to that effect. I just think we are super lucky to have satellite feeds at all.

As far as DirecTV or Dish, the Gopher games should be on as well as the Wisconsin series. You can usually count a Denver game also. Those, plus 2 or 3 games that may be picked up on ESPNU and CSTV--thats about it. (The FTA is the way to go. in addition to all the home games, the picture quality is FAR superior than any (standard definition) feed I've gotten on Dish, DirectV, or cable. must have something to do with the compression--or lack of....and I think its a native digital signal.....Iceberg?

Any idea how much $$ a bar/restaurant has to pay to carry the games....say a place with capacity around 75? I've inquired to FSSN without a reply.

  8. 2 large tomahawk S's (from the old jerseys standing for SiouxSports) with SiouxSports.com written underneath (or across) in smaller block letters all on a green background.

possibly change it up by putting the SS on a football field or hockey ice, (or any playing field) depending on the portion of the site you're at.

  9. People never misplace their car keys. Erik Fabian is just messing with them.

TJ Oshie was to distraught after Friday the 13th IV: The final Chapter that he wrote, produced, filmed and starred in each of the subswquent films. Why do think there has been 7 more sequels?

  10. The Red River will never flood Grand Forks again. Hak just stands at the rivers edge and stares it down.

not only does Philippe Lamoureux have cat like reflexes, he is a cat and likes karoke. Never ask him to sing the Meow Mix song....EVER!!

  11. Not to dig up old, bad memories, but what year was it that Wisconsin got similar goals (half ice or so) on consecutive nights to knock UND out of WCHA playoffs?

As I remember, both were overtime and one at the very end of second overtime.

    Anyone with better memory?
