It wasn't until the 1st period was over that I saw an actual link. Prior to that I'd get "can't connect to server". http://portal.gci.net/content/gci_sports/uaa_hockey/playerpage.html
  2. I got an old satworks unit, with the .3db lnb upgrade on a 75cm fixed dish. kinda perplexed as to how to adjust the skew. just give the lnb a twist? off to the yard to tinker. I'm actually using my old dish, the other one is pointed on the normal location and I didnt want to mess with it. Its on a 3 foot pole in a bucket of cement in my front yard. pretty sad looking.
  3. I got it, but 20 "signal points" lower than the superdish welcome screen. Is it common practice to turn up the juice once the actual broadcast starts?Or I should I hope it don't rain. (I'm at 37, a 35 is unwatchable)
  4. the sound pops in and out. I've done the audio feed switching (R, L, Stereo). I've reset the reciever and re-blind scanned. same result. luckily FSRM has tonights game. looks like yet ANOTHER saturday project. BTW any clue what's up with all the Steelers ads on FSRM? not that I mind. --One for the OTHER thumb!!
  5. no audio on FSSN...just a bunch of pops and clicks.....anyone else? (video is rock solid, strength =90) using FSRM in mean time.
  6. yeah for retooling. found nothing wrong, outside of need to repoint after playing with it last night. got 89% signal. NEVER seen anything that high ever--certainly not a Sioux game. ain't complaining.
  7. I'm not even getting sniff of a blip. too cold and certainly too dark (fixed dish). Retool and try again tomorrow. Pints and cheers for all. Go Sioux!
  8. y'all just jerking me around? I'm doa on every channel. is there something else live on that bird? I was dialed in tight for the Manitoba game.
  9. I too am in west metro of MSP (NW corner of the loop) and also use a satworks 3618 on a fixed dish. On Sunday I was locked in around 48 with little variance. I had 2 very brief hiccups during the game that may have been the feed itself. I use an old Directway dish and lnb (that I got from PSB) as an upgrade from a 75cm dish. Prior to my current dish, I upgraded the LNB on the 75cm dish to a low noise unit. It gained me several "points" of signal strength. I've noticed over the years that on my Satworks a signal of 36 gives an annoying picture, 37 no problem, 35 is unwatchable, and 34....forget it. If you were fluctuating down to 36 on Sunday, I would defintely look to make a "fix"--whatever that may entail. My thought is to fix it now rather than when its 10 degrees.
  10. has anyone else lost audio on the satellite feed? mine dropped out just after the 3rd goal. before that it was lagging behind the video by about 2 seconds. first period was fine.
  11. Iceberg, I've repointed my dish, but I'm not getting anything over 45 on the signal meter (Satworks 3618 receiver w/ Direct PC dish). Most signals come in around 38-40. Is that "ballpark" ? I aimed it during perfectly clear weather and took my time doing it (messing with all 3 axis). Secondly, I have a superfluous dish (35cm w/ .3dB lnb). any recommendations of a good satellite to point that at (to maximize Sioux/college hockey reception, or perhaps just has a bunch of "stuff")? Neither dish is motorized and I have DTV w/ full sports pack already. Lastly, I don't know if satellite stuff is your hobby, profession or both, but thank you for your info and contributions to this forum over the years.
  12. Originally, ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A was to give you 30 Oshies, but programmers realized that was just ridiculous. No one needs 30 Oshies to win a game.
  13. Jimmy Buffett's shaker of salt? A young Carey Eades swiped it, and Jimmy has been meowing about it for 30yrs. It's kept at Judy's. Current players have to "check up" on it from time to time.
  14. Oshie went in the first round of my fantasy football draft.
