It is time for everyone to stand behind the football players of the University of North Dakota. The players chose this school, they play with pride for this school. They get hurt, they stay up late to finish school work, traveling in airplanes to every away game.(exhausting) Devoting untold amounts of time that most people don't understand unless they are close to a person on the team. They get raked over the coals, analyzed with great intensity. The senior class has spent most of the time in upheaval with coaches coming and going and other players leaving the team and the school.
These are great young men playing for a great university.They are not perfect but they deserve credit for getting up every day and doing it all again. Very, Very proud to be a fan of this group of players.

If Mollberg plays Saturday he's got to be given time to succeed or fail, and I'm not just talking about this week vs MSU.
If you are giving him his shot, then actually give him a fair shot.
that should apply to all players one game is not enough to judge someone's performance. Who ever plays i hope they win. We need this win !

Keep our boys in our prayers may they have a safe trip going and coming! Now lets win the game tomorrow .

I would have liked to see Flowers in, too. Swede was a step slow with some bad angles, Johnson is more of a run support Safety, also had some terrible angles to the ball, and what I hear about Flowers is he has good ball skills.
To chime in about C. Carter, he is really a thick and strong kid, great effort all the time. I think the concern is his speed could be a liability with 1 on 1 matchups. Seems like maybe at outside backer or safety could be an option.......or maybe a nickel/dime package but with teams not huddling they force you to stay in your base package.

thanks grundy for bring us back to reality . My opinion is not official. I support the team win or lose or who's on the field. I believe the coaches will play the man they believe will get the job done. Und coaches support their families off of football so i know with all my heart they are playing to win.

Sad that a few guys on here over look that i agreed with them. And over looks nuffsaid saying harris and t carter would be the one to step up. A coupe of you has call chris carter out by name. So if im the one whos not pointing out the bad thing. I well your opinion on all the cb good and bad. And dont forget me saying that all the cb will do good. So please dont take my words out of content. And at 50 years old i dont have any axe to grind . I said and always said i trust the coaches pick for any position. With that said please respect me wanting to see what everyone has to bring. And not just at Cb. I truly beleive in the coaching staff between all of them its probably more then a 100 years experience. And im not that qualified.

I don't know the kid and don't care either way. I just agree with the comeback teacher that we should be able to see what everyone can do. I read his bio and he seems to have played well in High school and here prior to an Injury. As it relates to recruting the same can be said about every position!
i agree with NuffSaid chris was recruited by this staff. So they must have saw something in him. I would have a hard time believing that he can't compete. From what i hear he's very competitive . But like i said we have to trust our coaches. And it could be they are developing him .

The staff also obviously thought more talent was needed at position by looking at the recruiting and who they were looking at for transfers/JuCo's. They also had a full off-season to evaluate workouts and abilities.

I'll bite. I guess im surprised chris carter hasn't seen the field more considering the pass defense struggles, considering his playing time last year and how highly touted he was coming in.
i would say to anyone who has not seen chris carter compete at practice or in a game . U dont know what your missing . Each cb brings something different. I like jamming wr at the line.

Im a true UND football fan my intenion is not to offend anyone on the blog or second guess the coaching staff. I dont think that its anything wrong with me wanting to see what all the corners bring. The CB position is one that i know very well and i think in due time from what ive seen all the corners will do good things.

If Carter had shown any playmaking ability to this point he would be playing. That much is obvious after last weekend. The coaches must not have seen enough through 2 fall camps and a spring ball session.
i think he play every game last year until he was hurt. im just like most of und fans i want to win! And yes i trust what the coaches are doing . They have a standard for the team and i don't think anyone wants to win more then the coaches.

I dont think play making ability is the problem for carter. Look at game film from last season he made some great plays. And from what i hear "he's making great plays at practice. if you think there is that much of a play making difference in the cb's . That good for you. But thats not your call or mine thats on the coaches and i stand by their choice. I just want to see what everyone brings to the table.

I don't think thats its a big drop in any of the corners. I think that some aren't getting the opportunity due to measurables/height. I believe that once you play against Better QB's you will see that the measureables arent measuring up. (I.e. Portland) I think all the cb's have some good qualities.

starting corners got beat, defensive play calling was good. Cb ttechnique was off i would've called some of the same defensive plays. this time i will say next man up.

I say one of the back up cb bubba has created a great competition between cb. He's a good Coach ! I came to a couple games last year !

I think before we judge the coaches decision-making on who starts each game you should watch a few practices. U might find that some u think should start shouldn't start. and some u think shouldn't start should start. We have to trust our coaches.
