huskies679
If you want to sit in the lower level when you attend today's basketball doubleheader and you have not purchased your tickets, you may be out of luck. There were about 25 lower-level tickets remaining Friday for today's North Central Conference games between the North Dakota and St. Cloud State men's and women's basketball teams. The lower level seats about 1,800, but there are plenty of upper level seats available at Halenbeck, which seats 6,451. "I enjoy it better up there," said Chad Sheetz, St. Cloud State's assistant director of athletics for business and financial operations. "You can see everything up there. If you're up too close, you can't see it as well." Sheetz said that the University of North Dakota bought "300-400" tickets to re-sell to its fans for the games. "That's a lot more than usual," Sheetz said. A big reason for the demand is the matchup in the 6 p.m. women's game, which features the undefeated Huskies, ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division II, and the second-ranked and undefeated Sioux. The men's game follows at approximately 8 p.m. The St. Cloud State men's hockey team also plays Minnesota-Duluth at 7:07 p.m. on Saturday. Fans for that game may be surprised by the parking situation when they get to campus. "The parking is going to be a little hectic," Sheetz said. "Basketball (fans) won't have a problem. "The hockey fans may run into a little trouble with all the people coming to the basketball games."
