  1. True.

    If that occurs?

3 step drops and quick slants by WRs will back them off in short order.

Not a fan of 7 step drops and pocket passing.

If they are jamming the line?

Opens up quick safe passing lanes.

  2. NDSU allowed 125 per game on the ground and 3.9 ypc.

    They can be run upon.

Problem is their offense scored early and often. Forcing teams to go to air.

Improve on that 3.9 ypc vs. them and UND MIGHT be in business.

Equates to 3 carries. Move the chains.

  3. Exactly. The way to beat the champs is to keep them off the field.

    Win time of possession.

IMO....this is a huge mismatch and must be exploited.

Steady dose of ground pound.  D-line will tire after repeatedly getting pushed back.

Hope the offense is patient because taking unnessary  chances in the air diminishes chance of victory.

Long drives and chewing clock in order in this game.

  4. Key to this game is the line game. Every game actually.

NDSU does not match up size wise with largest D-lineman checking in at 6-4 287.

Everyone else is shorter and lighter.

    UND Offensive line:

    Aplin: 6 1 300         Boas: 6 1 315

    Hellman: 6 4 290    Grady: 6 5 295

    Miller: 6 5 315        Stiner: 6 6 280

    Meehan: 6 5 315    Stockwell: 6 5 295

    Taylor: 6 4 310       Merz:  6 6 275

    Rooney: 6 3 275    Blair: 6 4 240

    Camy: 6 6 305       Anderson: 6 6 310

    Cox: 6 5 290

    NDSU Defensive line:

    Butler: 6 3 221        Scheietz: 6 1 285

    Messner: 6 3 278    Tuszka: 6 3 237

    Steidl: 6 2 265         Jones: 6 3 209

    Williams: 6 3 242     Menard: 6 2 220

    Bremer 6 0 250       Ambrosius: 6 4 244

    Morgan: 6 4 280      Farnlot: 6 1 280

    Tanquay: 6 4 287

This is a favorable match up for UND and MUST be won by these guys.

Win the line of scrimmage? Win the game.

  5. Would agree with your statement but after daily drills, conditioning and lifting?

Job one should be a well balanced gut fest.

I know what I lived on at that age(think burgers/pizza)

May be a bit pricey but I know he is eating 10 bucks worth!!!

Glad to pay it to keep the weight on.

Would it of been nice to have a training table?

    Hell yes....but alas they don't.

  6. UND cafeteria is open for summer session. As long as you are a UND student/athlete you can eat there.

Not a good time to be left trying to fend for yourself.

900 bucks for 85 all you can eat meals.

Agree with your general premise however.

These kids should be fed well and often.

  7. I would say that is correct. Son flew home last day of finals.

Reported back on 6/1/15 for what he calls voluntary/mandatory.

Not a good move to skip ANY training time.

    Hard work pays off....

  8. Driving out from California. Should be epic....

    Would not miss it!!!!

Also attending the Weber St., Portland St. and Cal Poly game.

Wish I could make a home game but not in the cards this year.

  9. Not sure if recruits are gonna be announced personally. They will be showing highlights for sure.

Told my son to attend away. Take it all in. Enjoy it.

Told him to get out there and meet the fan base. You guys are really passionate about your team.

    That is a good thing!!!!

  10. Once again. This is the RECRUITING thread. Find another thread.

Also they only had about 90 guys last fall, if that.

Sorry....just saying....this was on the official UND website.....beg pardon....

  11. Kind of a crappy stat here (and I am not a negative Nancy) but only 16 players out of probably 120 could

muster a 3.2 GPA last semester?

    Anyone else read that????

Not liking that statistic.....Have to do better than that....

  12. When I played it was 4 for a home game and 2 for an away game if you were on the traveling squad.  If you needed more there were always other players who weren't using all of their tickets and were happy to let others use them for their family members.

Thank you for the information......appreciate that......

  13. Little bit of insider report....don't know you guys yet but just basing this on my son's info.....

He is liking it....says team is headed in right direction.

One of the reasons he liked UND was the fact they were actively trying to get things squared up.

I have no reason to doubt him....at this point???? Enough said.....

    HARD WORK????? PAYS OFF!!!!!!!!

  14. Gotta gut feeling this team is gonna be in the mix.....

I know my son is armed and ready....likes what he sees and is ready to roll....

Says he has a good feeling about the entire overall experience so far.....bunch of lunch pail guys punching the time clock....
