  1. ESPNU is an online service, the only time that channel is on tv is if ESPN moves the broadcast to one of the network channels like ESPN or ESPN2 and it will still say ESPNU on the screen. There is NO ESPNU channel on tv. I went through this last year, had a Sioux party at my house and scrambled when I found out it was an online channel. If you have an Xbox, you have the channel, no matter what your tv channels are. Unless things have changed for this year, that is what I went through last year.

    Good luck.

As far as everything being on ESPNU, it is, but it is tape delayed, if you look at the broadcast schedule for these games, some even say tape delayed!! Not the Sioux though.... :)

I have ESPNU as an actual channel..?

  2. Sometime soon I'll be sending off three jerseys for embroidery. A 2010-2011 Green Trupp jersey, a 2010-2011 White Frozen Four patch Frattin, and a Black dazzle Toews.

  3. Jim is a nice guy who has lots of money! He has over 50+ Sioux Jerseys and he owns two of Zach Parise's gamers and toews rookie gamer. I wish I had that kind of money!

Man.. I bet he could get $6000-$8000 for those three jerseys alone..

  4. The state legislature got involved with the nickname issue (something that many of us wished never would have happened) in 2011. Becuase it was so controversial, when the the law requiring the name to stay was eventually repealed (and then re-instated, and then eventually voted out) part of the repeal was that the University let the issue of a new nickname rest untili 2015, a sort of cooling off period.

The NCAA doesn't care if we have a nickname or not, so long as it is not Indian related.

Since we can't have "Sioux" (or I should say, we risk our atheletic competetiveness with it), I think most fans are comfortable without a nickname right now.

Most fans are comfortable because then they're virtually still the Sioux. And I LOVE that.

  5. Kristo will play in the NHL for sure. Knight, he'll get his chance, but he'll likely have to prove himself in the AHL. Grimaldi? He needs to play at an extremely high level consistently to overcome his size barrier.

They all have a pretty good chance at getting in some NHL games, no question.

  6. I picked up the green Davidson and the black dell.

Had my heart set on a frozen four or a blood, but they went for more than I wanted to spend. I may be looking at getting rid of the Davidson or my green Eidsness, but I don't really want to part with any. I'm really working on each color of each style, so I'm doubled up on Green Reeboks and I'm currently doubled up on green nikes.

I sent you a PM with questions.

  7. Correct. I suppose they COULD add hockey only affiliates, but that is just a guess. You have a great point, because whoever decides to join will be a brand new program (weak as hell!) The strength of schedule is already going to be an issue with the current members.

Who would they add though? They wanted Notre Dame to help with the expansion in football, and that clearly didn't work out.

  8. You snag that Eids yesterday?

Saw that went for a pretty penny.

I sent you an email via the website yesterday.. I tried sending you a PM on here but your inbox must be full or something?

  9. Jutting is under contract and will be paid till next summer. That's why he was re-assigned.

I understand that. But with the Athletic department adding another coach, the question was is Mankato willing to pay for two head coaches, especially when the new salary will be higher? This was answered by Bale, though.

  10. Eades being publicly vocal about wanting the job at MSUM puts him in the driver's seat for the job. The biggest question mark, will be, with Jutting still being paid through next season, will the University dole out enough money to pay a guy like Eades?

  11. Yeah, after the season ends you hold your breath for about four or five days as the agents and NHL teams come a-callin. Or I should say, the AHL teams come a-callin.

This year the Sioux don't have a T.J. Oshie/Toews type player who would make the immediate jump. I know the wild are out of the playoff hunt and their season is over, but I was still kind of surprised that Zucker was in the NHL almost right away.

The Wild are so high on the kid, and for fairly good reason. They wanted his speed added to the lineup. They're 3-0 with him.;)

  12. I would prefer we keep the name, but if not, it's not like the traditions the fans have, etc will change anyways? The only difference will be the jersey.

I just don't want to miss out on getting my size for the jersey if they never sell them again, etc.

  13. Here is the vintage style jersey in photographic form. I've never tried a uni swap like this on a photo, but it turned out pretty decent for the most part. It's not something I would probably do again as it's pretty extensive.

Anyways, how do your opinions change now that you can see it "in use"?

I love it, but think this jersey would be cooler in white rather than the cream, as it is similar to the Wild.

  14. It'd be cool to have Kristo involved with that "pact" as well.

In the year of the original "pact" (Oshie, Chorney, Duncan, etc), we still had Toews leave early. He was just ready.

Toews was one of the few cases where you absolutely had no doubt he was ready, and going to go.

I don't know if I would put Kristo in that category. Kristo is unbelievable talented, but he has also come from a college hockey family, and has wanted to play for the Sioux for many years.
