Speaking of 3... how often will Bubba’s Hawks finish in the top 3 of the MVFC?

UND will have a "learning curve" like NDSU did.  Bohl said the Bison have to get better on both lines when UNI would beat them down when they started the league.

Can UND get into the top half?  Sure.  It will take some time but how long.....probably sooner than later.  But now with UND coming in there will be a 2 team rotation out every year.  And with the Dakota schools always playing each other and put UNI in there....it will be a tough road for any of them.  Eastern teams have a lot easier schedules with UND coming in now because they get 2 Dakotas off the schedule every year.

Does UND get in over 7-5 SIU?

Or does the 30+ loss to NDSU in the final game put them in with another quality loss?

Watching SIU highlights, they are playing really good ball the last half of the season.

Personally, I think they are both in.  NDSU is a bad matchup for SIU and that game might be close in the 1st half but NDSU will pull away in the 2nd.

UND should blow out these last 2 teams (UNC and SUU).....I would run up the score to try and make an impression on the committee....played Weber tough and 2 convincing wins will get UND in.

With regionalization, UND will be playing NDSU or SDSU IMO....or funneled thru them.  Which one?  No clue.

If MT St loses to UCD and the Griz do they (7-5) get in over UND (7-4) with UND beating the Cats?

    Yes.

A 7-4 UND will get in over a 7-5 MSU.

Briscoe is the better qb no doubt. NDSU would be better with him at qb. With his ability to throw the ball NDSU would be unstoppable-er....

Briscoe would not be a better QB in NDSU's system because the QB run game is part of the offense and JB cannot run.

He’s not that great of a passer. For as many games as he’s played he should still be as erratic as he is at times. That is beyond refute. Your own fans know this.

Ya, he is inconsistent and that is frustrating at times and Bison fans acknowledge this and so do I but to say he is mediocre or not very good is a fallacy.

Great passer?  No, he is not great but when he is "on" he is great.  He also has poor moments....just like all QBs do.

Look at the JMU QB Schorr....he is a great FCS QB but had a poor performance against the Bison defense....it happens.

He'll get a look because of the Wentz legacy. That's it.

I'm not even talking about NFL....I don't think he is NFL material.  But he is a damn good FCS QB that most schools would be glad to have, including UND.

His stats are not eye popping but no QB at NDSU will have them in the system they run.  He is a winner:  34-3 as a starter with one more year left.

I'll tell you what's comical: you coming on a UND site continually trying to convince us that NDSU football is the second coming. Don't be that sensitive.

    Easton Stick is ehh.

When the bizons crash, don't hit your head too hard falling off the wagon -

I've got a whopping 68 posts on this site there bud, far cry from "continually"......try again.

Ya, NDSU is king of the hill right now.

You guys trying to downplay his ability or his value to NDSU's offense is comical.

Braden Hanson. We are talking QB's not teams, and Braden was a good QB. Threw for 660 yards against Montana. Played only 7 games due to injury but had a great season as for as QB numbers go. We had no defense and no running game unlike NDSU so if we are talking just strictly who is a better QB its Hanson.

    LOL

    Whatever makes you feel good!

I think NDSUs success has a lot to do with Stick. If not he wouldnt be playing.

    This here.

It is comical reading some of these posts on here about ES.  He is one of the best QBs in the FCS.

NDSU does not run an offensive system where the QB is going to throw it 30-40-50 times/game.  15-25 passes is what he is going to do per game.  He's not going to have huge stats but he is very good.

He will lead NDSU to #7 this year.

  10. Injuries have taken this team from a legit playoff team to one that is struggling right now.

Reading some of these threads on firing coaches reminds me of BV forums from 08-09.

IMO, as an outsider looking in, Bubba has this team going in the right direction but injuries can turn a potentially great season into a dumpster fire real quick.

Running the table gets this team in the playoffs.  Can it be done?  Sure it can.  EWU is home.  Montana is a mess.  Schedule is a favorable one.

  11. if that happened to Carson Wentz you would be demanding a season long suspension of the UND player, Bubba, and all UND fans in the building. Just look how fired up Bison fans got on this board and BV on a comment Sic made about doing a gator ankle tackle. You sir are an enormous hypocrite, just excuse yourself back to BV and stay there.

Coming from the biggest tool on FCS message boards.

If Carson ever got hurt again it would be from his aggressive running and trying to get that extra yard.

I guess all of you know exactly what happened.  Injuries happen like two Bison OL with broken feet.  But I guess those were from malicious plays by the opponents.

  12. UND has a total of 29.........I'll repeat that TWENTY NINE....yards rushing in the last 2 games. Bubba Ball this is not. If this team can't manage a minimum of 75-80 ypg rushing in the BSC they have zero chance to win. The Cats ran 104 plays yesterday and gained 700+ yards............and LOST to EWU. The Griz will run 90+ plays every game. UND has to move the ball on the ground occasionally and get an occasional first down. This team shows limited ability to make plays thru the air. The UND D is decent....good for the BSC but no D can weather the storm of 80+ plays and 35+ minutes on the field every game. This offense for the last 2 seasons to date under Rudolph has been nothing less than a Sh*t Show and frankly that is being kind. Again someone rewatch the game yesterday and tell me how many different "plays" UND ran outside of switching some formations.

And to those beating their chests about supporting this team and calling out "fair weather fans"...........stop. This product called UND FB is so painful to watch in its current state, and for the last 8+ years, that if someone has something else that is at a minimum as important as supporting UND FB why wouldn't you pass on driving miles to GF to continue to watch this. Irish has seen more UND FB than me and to say in 40+ year this offense has produced the worst halves of FB he has seen say something.........say a lot. Bubba needs to grab the rest of this season by the nuts before it is completely lost and IMO that start with the play calling.

It's only 6:45 am and I'm popping Lisinopril like Pez I'm so worked up typing this and I still have almost 11 hours til GB/SEA kick off............

  13. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Total opposite from what has been said down here.  Both starting corners are back.  SS and FS will have new starters but the guys are very talented, they just have to prove it on the field now.

  14. C'mon BV is foaming at the mouth to become the next Boise State seeing how easy they have risen to the top so quickly in the FCS beating FBS powerhouses of Minnesota and Kansas that the FBS would be a breeze I mean you guys love those Massey ratings that show the Bison towering over the bottom feeders of the G5. So what's stopping you guys from moving up?

If anyone in he FCS can move up it is NDSU, except maybe Liberty.  NDSU could not afford FBS right now but they could compete with G5 schools.  If there ends up being a 2nd tier  of D1, I hope NDSU is in it.

  15. Just look at NDSU and their senior class. It's almost nonexistent.

There are 14 seniors on the roster this year.  Not too bad.  There has been some losses in this class.

The '13 team had 24 and the last year's team had 18.  Probably not the norm for most FCS schools.

  16. You know when UND reaches the level of NDSU like we did in the 90's and 2000's, NDSU will try to go one level higher to be one step ahead of us.

    You actually believe this?

So that is why NDSU decided to move to D1 in 2003.......I guess I was wrong.... ;)

  17. Bison followers are always making fun about how many points Big Sky teams give up. NDSU looks like they belong in the Big Sky more and more with every game they play. One thing for sure, there defense isn't as good as last year. I still can't see anyone beating them though.

This defense doesn't have to be as good as last year.  In fact, last year's team is probably the best FCS team ever.  That was the first time a team has scored over 30 points on the Bison in four years.  CC had a very good offense.

The offense stepped up yesterday and carried the team.

For not being "as good as last year", the Bison are 13-1 and still playing football....

  18. Just being a fellow Midwestern football program, UND should roll this team.

Doesn't matter how young UND is, the NEC is a weak conference with only 40 something schollies given out.

UND by at least 3 TDs.
