  1. While it looks really cool, this is the part that would scare me. To move over 1000 would take some serious time, IMHO, so you'd need to carry substantial inventory. The most obvious way to mitigate that would be to get some distribution agreements (e.g. into the REA Gift Shop and siouxshop.com).

Then, I'm reminded of the time that UND itself couldn't get 400 people to commit to a license plate on a short schedule.

Of course, I'm rather risk averse... :)

Thanks for the input. I should have mention my little family business is quite used to distributing Limited Editions of 1,000pcs. and we have done quite well with our $135 precision diecast Corvette.

There is a chance that I can reduce the run to 300-500pcs. but the cost per unit (on the wholesale side of things) would rise at least a little bit...maybe a lot.

The $100 figure actually accounts for this is we could probably go $90 on the edition. But we want to do it right.

Thanks again have a good summer!

  2. Hey thanks for the feedback I had never seen those 2 examples.

Yes...just to be clear the model I refer to in 18-scale would be huge and amazingly detailed...over 8" long and about 4.75 inches tall...heavy diecast and perfectly recreated. I suppose only the most fanatical hockey fans would appreciate the extreme detail but it is a fairly remarkable piece no matter how you look at it.

  3. Hey hockey fans need a quick reply on this with any opinion you have.

I am working with Motor City Classics on marketing a high quality diecast Zamboni in 18-scale (400 seperate parts, perfectly and accurately detailed all the way down to the brushes and plumbing, automotive paint, etc) the cost would be about $100 at the retail level.

How many of you would buy one and how many of you would not? BB example below.

They can't do a college hockey team version unless we receive orders on 1,000+ per team.

I'm asking Sioux Nation specifically as I believe they are the most loyal and avid fan base in college hockey and I intend to make a Sioux Zamboni 1st ahead of any other NCAA team.

Thanks for the advice Sioux fans and best of luck in 2007-2008

  4. WCHA fans alike;

Please go to this site below, review the proposed petition there, and

consider signing it. This petition shows the 400+ DIII schools that we

the fans do not want to see programs such as CC, Clarkson, RPI, etc.

have to strip their programs of DIII/DI scholarship exemption status

which would render a program like CC's barely recognizable. Save CC

    hockey!!!
