  1. Did you watch the game on Saturday? Five turnovers for the Defense. Shut up about the defense, this is the most stellar game the defense has played the entire year. I do not understand why people think the defense needs to pitch a shutout for them to have a good game.

Now, If Danny could throw the ball to anyone but the golden boy Trenbeath....we would have won the game. How many times does Jake Caufield have to run down the field uncovered before you throw it to him? Give it up, everyone knows you're going to run the bubble screen to Brady. Fruend's performance has continued to dwindle in the last three games. He hasn't gotten the protection he needs from the o line and then he makes poor decisions. Takes sacks when he should throw it away and tried to thread the needle into double coverage. The key to success is to spread the ball around. More passes to Bamba whose speed will amaze people. Hopefully things can get turned around so the last game for the seniors can be a win down in the Dakota Dome.

i completely agree with you. caulfield was open a lot and i also think bamba needs to get more crossing routes to use his speed coming across the field. i think the boys will be amped up enough to come out of vermillion with a win and we will have a winning record

  2. I'm wide awake. Tennessee and Wyoming are two of the worst I-A teams in the country. FACT. Both of them are comparable talent wise to a mediocre or poor I-AA team. Other than Southern Illinois pissing one away against them, none of their wins are at all impressive. The Byesin would be battling us for the bottom of the Great West right now if they were still in the conference. Both programs are down but I think we're at least heading in the right direction while they're still worshipping Saint Craig while he proves every day why he got his ass canned in Nebraska. If you're so sick of the "B.S." season why don't you go and root for them. At least then we won't have to put up with this ridiculous internet charade you're putting on. You're team (NDSU) ain't !@#$. Almost every tough team you've played has beat your ass. You're an also-ran in at best the fifth best I-AA conference and right now you downright suck. Live with it.

oh and another thing i failed to mention. Tenessee is NO WHERE near the same talent level as a mediocre 1-aa team, they are way better than talent wise than any 1-aa team. once again, you have no clue about college football. and since i actually know stuff you think i'm a BISON fan. thats the worst insult i've ever had.

HA right, this charade, and i'm really an undercover ndsu fan right dlsiouxfan, right. you just don't have a clue what you are talking about. i actually say what we don't want to hear and all of a sudden you think im' a bison fan. pull the blindfold off of your eyes and get a clue.

  4. The talent level is probably the worst it's been on this squad since the early 90's. The administration nearly killed this program by dragging it's feet over the Division I move. It won't take more than a recruiting class or two to turn it around as long as we can get the right guys in place. Any Byesin fan who's on here talking crap should get over themselves. They've had five years of recruiting D-1 talent and still have a rotten football team. It will be fun watching them get their ass beat again next week. It will be more fun if we can salvage a winning season by winning in the Dakotadome but it will be a tall order. I must say I'm disappointed in the GF community for last night's turnout. This program deserves better from it's fans than 7.800 in attendance.

WAKE UP, we are playing low level teams, they are playing tough teams, they should have beat a wyoming team that just beat tennessee. they haven't lost by more than 2 touchdowns like us. so before we are saying all this, we need to put our money where our mouth is about the "ass beat again". i'm so sick of this b.s. season, it just needs to end.

  5. No, it is not their first GWC win. But they have beaten Youngstown St. this season! :(

No shame in losing to SUU this year. Disappointed, yes, but definately a much better Thunderbird team than last year. Also not as good a Sioux team as last year.

we would get steamrolled by youngstown. we might not even win a game in the great worst conference. and SUU is still not good. 4 wins. and we aren't good. the only team we've beaten in fcs is 0-8 and we won by 3. i've never been such a hater about und. but this is redic

  6. I laughed when I read your post. Especially when I read what you post about UND on Bisonville. Here is your latest comment about UND:

Not so tuff now tough guys, LOL

Pretty hard to fill a 25K retractable stadium, huh?

I listened to the whole game, they suck.

well 4mcrew is right. i was at the game tonight. ONLY 7,000 people. PATHETIC. you even got 5 dollars off if you brought a can of food. and that was an embarassing loss. south dakota is not going to be easy for us. i'm nervous as can be and furious.

  7. While I would like to see the next 2 games end up in the win column, I have not been disappointed by the FCS games that we have had to date. I have been traveling with the team and have been at every away game. While I feel we could have won a couple of those games, we demonstrated one very important thing...... we are at least at a competitive level. We don't have that far to go. Each game that we have lost has come down to 2-3 mistakes that if they would have went the other way, the outcome may have been different. Sometimes the score does not reveal have close a game really was. We actually had a good game against Southern Illinios except for the interception Danny threw, the missed holding call ( completely obvious to everyone in the stands including the SI fans sitting next to me) against SI that allowed the little speedster to get a 75 yard TD. While I am not saying we should have beat them, the fact is we are in a state of transition and we are only going to get better each year.

I think it is important that we grow competitively and incremently each year. We could learn from the Bison fiasco whereby they had such success the last couple of years that the fan base developed unrealistic expectations and now wonder what is going on. The fact is that there is a lot of parity to this division which, of course, makes it that much more exciting. On any given Saturday, any solid team can beat another solid team. Let's give the team time to grow but in the meantime. let's throw our unconditional support to them. Let's go Sioux !!!!

as much as i want to believe you. i question how "close" those games really were. if we hadn't scored in the last minute of the UC DAVIS game we would have lost by 20. and you can ever, ever, EVER, make a comment or excuse about the refs. big no no. all i'm saying is we really need to improve and come out of the Southern Utah game with a win. which we should.

  8. That is a very good assessment. Personally, I feel that this is a much more winnable game than the South Dakota game. I think the offense will have a revival in this game, the rushing numbers especially indicate that. The Sioux play up a level at home too.

I admit this season has been somewhat of a disappointment to me. I felt that certainly the SLU game was a winnable one, and I thought we should have been more competetive against UC Davis as well. If we don't at least get a split over the last two games here against SUU and USD, I will consider this season a complete failure.

especially since the one fcs team we beat is 0-8 and we only beat them by 3. we NEED to win these next two and prove something going into the offseason.

  9. Although I am not expecting a win, as this is without question the best team we will face this season, I do feel that North Dakota matches up better with SIU than we did with UC Davis.

where do you get that? they are faster and way more athletic than Davis? i'm not saying you are wrong..i'm just wondering in what ways you think we match up better.

  10. I should add...we are essentially a Division II team. UC Davis has what, 5 years on us? I think the boys had a decent performance tonight, it was a 10 point deficit, we had a great 9 minute drive where we stuck with the run, but we didn't get points. That was the gamechanging drive. Add the drop by Nicholas in the endzone later on, then the missed FG...we had chances, it just wasn't in the cards tonight.

i'm going to strongly disagree with you, but we are all entitled to our opinions. the way you talk sounds like northern colorado and we all know what happened to them

  11. Like I said, not sure why I am not more pissed...probably because this doesn't blow a playoff shot for us.

forgot to mention brady T looks very tender, playoffs or not we need these wins, not only for pride, but for recruits

  12. Losses suck, but for some odd reason, I'm not that upset about this one...

how are you not upset about this one? this team had a losing record last year and 4 losses this year? not to mention our O-line and D has looked terrible. i'm worried going into SIU next week.

  13. Cripes.

    :D

I predict UND wins by a TD...against whoever we play on Saturday. It is on Saturday...right?

    :)

didn't the bye-sin beat this team last year by like 30 plus points? i think we will handle them even though it is at their house.

  14. Oh, I didn't mean it to rub it in, I was just looking at that index, and with a win over UC Davis, being they are ranked so high, I assume we would jump over the Bison regardless of their game result. Normally polls don't mean squat, but in a transition year, it's just about all we've got.

ya the poll will help with our recruiting don't you think?

  15. hate to say it buddy but i think we are a bit behind the bye-sin. they're schedule appears to be insane. hopefully in a few years we can get the recognition they get at the ag

is there any chance of us finishing in the top 25?

  16. A win over UC Davis puts us ahead of the guys in yellow and green to our south.
