  1. I think I have made my point which none of you will ever agree with because of our different views. Call me whatever you want, deny the obvious, lump me with whomever you want, I don't care. Be as arrogant as you want, only the gophers surpass you. Yes I still hate the gophers more than I used to respect the Sioux. Congratulations, you did change my mind. Arrogance is not reserved for the maroon and gold, the green and black are as blind as any. Get into your little green huddle, surround yourselves with common thinkers, believe its us against the world and don't let anyone convince you otherwise, close your eyes and sing cum bye ya. And be happy. Good luck in your little world. Bye......

Good bye. Don't let Aaron Marvin..err the door..slam you in the back on your way out.

  2. Please read the rule book. Intent is in no part of the rule. ANY hit to the head is a penalty. Period.

The league needs to protect its players from blatant cheap shots as Marvin as done twice this season. The Wisconsin player was hit to the head period, a penalty should have been assessed. I agree that he should have gotten at least the 5-8 game suspension like it was proposed. We don't need cheapsake players like Aaron Marvin representing what the WCHA is all about.

Besides my buddy was telling me that Greene took out Paukovich during training camps (for retitribution on Bina)? I can guarantee that Marvin needs to have eyes in the back of his head because someone down the line is going to pay him back too. And honestly I'd pay good money to see it happen.

  3. I disagree. The league standard is increasing punishment for repeat offenders (see: Bruess last year). 1 game for the first offense and 3 for the second (and 5 or a whole season for the third offense) is progressive and increasing.

Look, these are the brains and the future livelihood of young men at stake here. Concussions have been taken lightly for too long.

Three games seems like the minimum acceptable, in my opinion. As long as its accompanied by a "next one and you lose a full season" message.

Intent to injure like he did against Genoway deserves an automatic season suspension or a suspension as long as the player he injures takes to recoup. The league officials should have looked at the tape and saw that Marvin had no intention whatsoever to try and stop from hitting Genoway into the boards. This as#hole needs to learn a lesson and the league needs to set the bar on an absolute "zero tolerance" on illegal hits :) (i.e. checking from behind, and that cheap shoulder hit into the head he did against the Wisconsin player a couple of weekends ago). God when it comes to the WCHA we have the most talented teams in the country. Why can't we have the same for referees? What a joke of officials we have in the league.

  4. Wow....have we fallen or what...

Football lose to an NAIA school

    Basketball

    Mens's- lose to Mayville State..

Once proud womans team getting beat by 30-40 a game.. ???

Am I the only one that is just sick of this crap???

    This stuff makes me sick!!!!!

You know we just have to deal with it. I'm sure that we are not the ONLY one and will not be the LAST one to do well in DII and make the transition and struggle. Don't worry about it. Geez.

  5. This is the reason in a nutshell. Road games would cost twice as much in satellite time plus production costs plus travel expenses. Advertising is a tougher sell right now than it was in past years. Remember, this is additional advertising sales because these stations aren't usually in use if they aren't showing games. Everyone would love to see road games but a lot of the time it doesn't make sense financially for Midcontinent or WDAZ. Now if someone really wanted to watch them and would pay the costs, maybe something could be arranged. Of course you would have to give them some lead time, it's tough to make those arrangements in a few days.

Money money money makes the world go 'round. Still a disappointing reason but understandable. I guess that I'll have to listen to Tim "The Refs Can't Ever Get the Call Right" Hennessy on the Radio. ???

  6. I was just wondering what the deal is with FSSN? Why can't they show any more out of town games than they do?

UND at Colorado College UMD UW games have all been shown at one time or another on FSSN? Why have they not shown any of these out of town games lately?

  7. Why is it exactly that you dislike Landry so much? This isn't the first time I've heard you speaking terribly about him.

He's struggling. These are games that we NEED to win. Do you know how huge our recruiting base would be if we win the Great West Conference Championship? It's nothing against Landry, it's just business.

  8. There are many ways to figure what a "worst loss" is - point spread, physical domination, lack of effort, choke value, intangibles lost (such as playoffs or conference championships) . I feel that getting spanked by an NAIA team at home when we are trying to get some DIVISION IAA respect qualifies as a contender. It was as sad a moment in Sioux football as I can remember. It was as poor an effort from top to bottom as I have seen. If you disagaree - fine -make your case. However, I can do without your snide attitude. Keep your insults to yourself. You certainly haven't established youself as our resident expert.

PS My original point was that it was somewhat silly to vote for Mussman as coach of the year after what I called our worst loss ever. Your smart ass rebuttal of me lists another loss during which he was head coach as evidence I am wrong.

Sorry I was a little harsh about making that comment. I, along with a lot of Sioux football fans, just hope for the best in the rest of this football season. Let's make our stamp on the Great West conference this year!!!!!

  9. SFA is a good D1AA team Sioux Falls is a good NAIA team. D1AA>NAIA. don't make stupid posts when your argument is stupid.

Look, we are still in transition. NDSU did very well during transition, but suck a*s now (when it counts the most). SDSU lost to UW-Lacrosse a DIII school and struggled a bit more than NDSU (even though they did seem to have NDSU's number during that time :D ) and now they are ranked in the top 25 in DIAA. People think that the world is going to end because we lost to a very good NAIA team. We were out coached and out played. Sure it left a bad taste in my mouth, but I moved on. Just like some of you posters that think this was the worst loss in UND football history should do. Move on. Let's worry about the rest of the Great West conference schedule and hope that the season goes well for us! ;)

  10. This is a joke, right? Our coaching staff was in way over their heads against Sioux Falls. He's lucky to keep his job. He has presided over perhaps the worst loss in Sioux history.

Worst loss in Sioux history? This is a joke right? :D Sioux Falls had a hell of a team and brought their A game. Their loss to Stephen A Austin was WAY worst than this one. Don't make stupid posts when you don't know what you are talking about.

  11. I'm from Sioux Falls. The mediea there over-hype this team. It's disgusting. I hope the Sioux crush them for nothing other than to put USF in its place. They are the best of the lousiest.

Kind of like Winona State in the NSIC? Remember all of the times that we used to crush them in the 1st round of the playoffs? :(
