  1. I feel compelled to make a comment here. There is hate and evil in the world. These two fellows are/were evil and they happened to be Muslim. My stating that fact does not make me racist. Nor does my respectfully disagreeing with you on an issue make me intolerant. We are so bent on being pc that we avoid the obvious, and the subjects we do need to be talking about. It is not about winning the argument. It is about hearing the other person out and acknowledging their position. That is what the world needs.

As an aside, I was in Boston on Monday. At the marathon, and a few blocks from the finish line. Fortunately all of us from Bismarck were unharmed and are home safe. It gives a person an entirely different view of things that is for sure.

  2. I wondered how long it would take someone to trot out some Old Testament verses on this thread. Let's be clear, Jesus Christ was the original women's libber. He included women in his inner circle before it was cool. It saddens me as a follower of Christ that it seems Christianity is the only religion in the US that can be trashed with impunity. As for Rocco, good on him. He is living and sharing his faith. Having a different opinion does NOT make you intolerant. Although it seems that is the common belief. I wonder if the posts had been Jewish, or Muslim if we would have this volume of posts? I hope Rocco continues to share his opinions and beliefs. He is a young man that is not afraid to share them, and that is rare in this day and age. I second the previous poster in reference to the 1st Amendment, it is a beautiful thing.

  3. What? I was wondering if anyone knew anything it could have been anything. What are you the message board police? It is a legit question.

If this is correct (and it isn't confirmed yet) this would be the daughter of Mike Thorson, Head Coach of U Mary track and field.

  4. This was in the Bismarck Tribune this morning. It is a tragedy when these things happen. For everyone involved. Prayers for the family and friends are in order.
