  1. Great comeback win! I hope they come out skating hard and hitting hard vs. BC, so they don't get outskated early and repeat today's game! 2 more wins to go! I hope T.J. starts shooting more and scores. I want both him and Duncan to end up with over 20. Either T.J. or Lameroux winning The Hobey Baker is fine with me.

  2. Since we've been having this discussion lately on the boards, that is the 2nd time in this game I've noticed that Miller had a scoring chance and both times was unable to get a shot.

That was the reason some fans wouldn't have minded concentrating more firepower on the top line by replacing Miller with Kozek, DESPITE allowing checking lines to have the possibility of shutting down more of UND's firepower by just stopping one line. It might help, but might hurt, if the top line doesn't score, to have a 3rd line that has significantly less scoring touch.

  3. Kozek's goal.

    Pretty passing play!

It seems like The Sioux have Princeton on their heels a little, but they'd better score a couple more soon, to avoid danger from a cheap turnover goal. If they keep the offensive pressure on, one's bound to go in. The quicker the better. Princeton hasn't seemed to solve The Sioux defence very well. Is their coach any good at making adjustments?

  4. All I can say is this, they better get their !@#$ together, quick, fast, and in a hurry. Next week there is no second chance. Oh, and please, put Kozek back out there with Osh and Duncs, they were much more productive with Koz on that line.

I think it's a given that they'll replace Miller with someone. It seems that the logical move is Kozek, as they need badly to get out of the scoring slump, and Kozek wasn't scoring much on the third line, anyway. Contrary to popular belief, in the tougher, more defensive playoffs, it MAY be better to have goal-scoring power concentrated on one line, at least, rather than spreading it out too thin, and not scoring at all.

I hope they put him back on Line1.

  5. It looks like the fates NEVER want to allow me to hear a Sioux game. Now that I know about the KFGO link, the game isn't on KFGO. So I used the KFAN link and can't get on. I assume that is because I wasn't able to register for it. When I go to The Sioux Men's Hockey Media link, and click on the free radio broadcast link, i only get the Sioux Extra information. I get no link to register for getting the free radio broadcasts. Is there a DU broadcast I can listen to on the Internet?

  6. Maybe Hakstol is trying to spread the scoring around a little since he gets the last line change today? Just my guess

No doubt about it. He wants 3 lines with a decent chance of scoring. I think it will be a hard fought game that could easily be a one-goal affair. A key goal by Kozek on the 3rd line might well be the difference.

  7. i know this gets talked about often, but im bored and still have a while before i leave for the ralph, so here is what i have for next years team...

    Goalies...

    Aaron Walski, Sr

    Brad Eidsness, Fr

    Landon Snider, So ?

    Defense...

Chay Genoway, Jr (should wear a letter the next two seasons)

    Derrick LaPoint, So

    Jake Marto, So

    Zach Jones, Jr

    Joe Finley, Sr (95% gone)

    Taylor Chorney, Sr (99% gone)

    Ben Blood, Fr

    Andrew MacWilliam, Fr

    Joe Gleason, Fr

*assuming the two potential seniors leave, do they bring in three frosh defensemen, and have seven to battle for the six spots? no emergency backups like radke anymore to toss in if any injuries, and as shown this weekend, marto and genoway transition up front fairly well, which is why i think there will be 7

    Forwards...

Ryan Duncan, Sr (75% gone if he gets a good offer, but would love to see him with the "c" next year)

TJ Oshie, Sr (99.9% gone, but we can dream ;) )

    Ryan Martens, Sr

    Andrew Kozek, Sr

    Darcy Zajac, Jr

    Brad Miller, Sr

    Brent Davidson, So

Michael Forney, redshirt So?? don't know what to think here

    Evan Trupp, So

    Matt Watkins, Sr

    Matt Frattin, So

    Brad Malone, So

Chris VandeVelde, Jr (20% he goes, but i see him as a force wearing a letter)

    Jason Gregoire, Fr

    Brett Hextall, Fr

    Brett Bruneteau, Fr

*if we're lucky enough to keep Duncs, that is a ton of senior leadership up front and 15 guys fighting for 12 spots if forney is back healthy and in the mix. In my opinion, it is one too many, but I can't see any of the three frosh deferring, especially considering the 2009 class. Obviously you make exceptions for guys like osh and duncs, but i just don't know.

    any thoughts??

Duncan will NOT be back. He should have a few NHL teams bidding over him. He made a good impression in The Blues' camp, and they are still short of decent scoring forward prospects in their organisation. I think he got a good impression of The Blues' management and what Davidson and Checketts are doing there. I think T.J, is also giving them a favourable report. My gut feeling is that 2-3 other teams will make him offers, allowing the Blues' offer to be high enough that Ryan will sign with them.

  8. robb... kfgo.com is a better web stream for audio in my opinion. just go to the site during pregame and hit listen live and you are set. if you want the video, you can buy a single game (24 hr) package from fightingsioux.com. it is not as user friendly, but once you get it up and running, it works fairly well. i would hope that the fightingsioux.com site will try to correct their problems, but in the meantime, it is all we have for people out of the area. hope you get the game today, as i have a feeling the sioux are going to put the stomp the the techies. lets go sioux!!!!

Thanks, NoDak! I also have a feeling The Sioux will really take it to 'em.

  9. Thanks, AZ. My browser must be too weak to pick up the full Sioux Media page. There is no free package to scroll down to on mine. All I get is Sioux Extra.

Thanks for the link to KFGO. I guess I won't have to sign up for anything, just click on a button to hear the game. I have a sound card good enough to get internet radio broadcasts.

By the way, I predicted (had the gut feeling about) the 4-1 win before noticing that was the same prediction you made. Despite not listening to games live, I've been following all the Sioux games from the box scores. And I watched a couple of their tournament games on TV last season while visiting in Canada and USA. I have a relatively decent idea of how they play for someone who hasn't seen them play live.

  10. Hi. I am a St. Louis Blues fan (from Winnipeg) that became a Sioux fan because of T.J. Oshie and Ryan Duncan (and later, Chris Porter). I live currently in The Netherlands, so I can't hear your radio broadcasts over the airwaves.

I signed up to this forum on March 2nd, hoping to be able to listen to all the remaining games by internet. I was directed to the media page, and told I had to register even to hear the free radio broadcasts. Even when clicking on the button that says something like: "click here to hear the free radio broadcasts", I am sent to the sign up for the "PREMIUM" service for Sioux TV broadcasts. When I register there, I CAN'T go any further, as I don't have the streaming capability to see TV broadcasts on my slow telephone internet connection.

I've already missed 3 weekends of games, including the overtime game last night. I really want to hear tonight's game badly. Can anyone here direct me as to how to sign up for the free radio broadcasts without getting on the Premium service menu?

    I'd really appreciate some help.

    Robb_K

PS-By the way, I think The Sioux will probably be embarrassed by last night's result, come out and dominate tonight's game from the start, and win 4-1. I want The Sioux to not only make The frozen Four, but to WIN IT ALL, so T.J. has not even the slightest idea to return to UND for a 4th season.
