You make it sound like the Sioux had a unstoppable team in '96-'97. If I remember correctly, it was the OT goal at the Final Five by Pete Armbrust that gave us the #1 seeding and motivation to make the playoff run that we did. Such a magical season though. I think that was the year we had 4 or 5, 5 goal periods, including the 2nd period of the national championship game against BU.The magical season was allowed to stay magical when BU beat Michigan to advance. Even Blais thought it was a huge win. Anyone remember that Michigan team. They could of beat some pro teams. they went 34-4-4

Someone said that this was available for free from the Alaska side. That'd be great if they didn't expect us to stay up late to watch it.
it didn't look free to me. i looked and it looks like when you sign up you get a monthly bill. you have to set an account number and stuff. if i am wrong please correct me. i would stay up to watch if i can for free.

yeah and when i turned the corner to head out the tunnel a mavs fan stuck his foot out and shoved me the usher dude had to yell something about calling the cops. i am not a big violent person so i just laughed it off.

I always hear about how bad the sioux fans are so here is a good story. I watched the game in the back row with nothing but msu fans. we were giving each other the business all night. we were having fun. they would do something good and use our chants and vice versa. we went up four to one and i did the olay olay olay chant thinking we were still having fun and guess what happened. a msu fan shoved me down while i was walking down the stairs. goes to show you we are 't so bad

I HIGHLY doubt we'll chase Cheverie.
Minnesota has offensive capabilities this year that has, overall, been very good despite their ineptitude against us.
DU hasn't the offense necessarily that Minny has, but they have twice the defense....well, if Minny showed they had defense against us, then I'd say twice the defense.
This series is HUGE and by no means will it be easy.
On the other hand, I thought we'd struggle against Minnesota and it worked out.
Who knows. All I do know is that this is not a series that we can expect blowouts. I personally am not expecting a blowout either way.
This is not an easy sweep.
Just an FYI: IIRC UND heavily recruited Cheverie and the netminder at Northeastern I can't remember his name.
