I think that so far, this class appears quite good. Last year's was very impressive on paper as well, and three players from that class actually played as true freshmen, which is quite unusual at UND. I would love to see a few more commitments from some of the high-end talents such as Damon Campbell, Tyrell Rosemeyer and Jon Heimler, plus a few more offensive linemen (Andrew Anderson from Crookston, perhaps?) and also a couple of immediate juco transfer defensive players. If that should happen, this class has the potential to be special.

I believe this is the first recruiting weekend since before Christmas, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if we hear of some more commitments in the next few days.
I'm new to Sioux Football and not familiar with the past recruiting classes. The 2008 class looks very impressive( from Dan Edem(TE) to Ian Rosario(OL) and Mitch Sutton(RB)..just to name a few), do you have the same impression?

With the ND HS football season over, who has UND been recruiting? Here's some names that have been tossed around as prime ND recruits:

Who are the other two teams that have inquired as to membership? Are they both West Coast schools? Just curious because you probably have some better sources of info out in California than we have here.
Interesting topic: would love to see two or more teams join the GWFC, pls keep us posted on potential new GWFC membership.

2673 yards on 336 carries in one season. For you folks in Rio Linda, that is almost 8 yard per carry.

According to the Eastview football website, he did commit to UNI.
Thanks. That's a huge pick for Northern Iowa, Will is super athlete. I'm telling you, Northern Iowa is pretty aggressive in MN.

Let's keep our fingers croossed and hope that another Eastview(MN) standout, Will Jackson, LB/RB, 6' 1", 230 commits to UND. Jackson has offers from UND and NDSU and visiting Northern Iowa this weekend:

The other Eastview(MN) standout TE/DE Dan Edem committed to UND last month. If UND can secure both Edem and Jackson, expect a formidable UND football program for years to come. Edem and Jackson are both below the radar super athletes with versatilities that can compete at any D-1 level and conference. I've watched these two kids for year, they are both work-horses you can always count on!

Eastview's(MN) versatile/athletic TE/DE Dan Edem now commits to Jerry Kill's Northern Illinois Huskies( D-1A Mid-American Conference). He's now the top projected TE for the 2008 class- this is a huge late pick for the exuberant Huskies .
