  1. I took the first picture posted. I don't have a great camera or anything, but I took it from the press box. Can't really complain about my view. :silly:

haha no you really can't!! I go to UND, so obviously sit in the student section, i absolutely love sitting in the lower bowl and being closer to the action, but would take upper over lower any day, it's a tad bit easier to see the plays and game develop from up there. I can't complain about sitting shoulder to shoulder with the glass and penalty box though, especially during gopher huntin season

  2. That was in today Dakota Student as well...

im scratching my head, trying to figure what it all means.

    no im not blonde,

just wondering if this is a ruling? or the point that UND is trying to get across to the NCAA???

    hmmmm

  3. Found this in the Minot Daily News Wednesday Paper

way too much to type though, and i couldnt find it online,

  4. thats awesome! i remember lammy saying that he hoped it would make some kids day, and it happened! It just goes to show that not all of these athletes think too highly of themselves to swoop back down to a 'normal' level and show appreciation to the fans! i cant get over this, its just too awesome to really put into words! thats the fighting sioux spirit.

  5. no offense, but i think you have your info way way off.

he got a NOMINATION for a hobey baker, he hasnt won it (yet).

Oshie and Lammy both got a hobey nod

and now people can vote for them on hobeybaker.com

if they get enough votes (and they are doing pretty good so far)

and are w/in the top 3 with most votes, then they are hat trick finalists

from those three finalists, a hobey baker award recipient is selected.

  6. First off, all you folks who are bashing TJ Oshie .... SHUT UP! Secondly, this is his problem and nobody elses. Let it go. He's a 21-year old man that has faced adversity much of his life and always pulls through.

The details of this incident will surface soon enough.

You people are the same ones who are praising him when we make the Frozen Four the past two years and he plays through extremely horrendous injuries of which the general public has no idea. He wears that jersey w/ pride, passion and determination. You praise him when he exceeds all your expectations and now when he needs the support everyone bashes him.

You are all nothing but fair weather fans. Get off your high horses and stick by kids like TJ Oshie.

Oh, and why didn't he sign w/ the St. Louis Blues?

Because he loves this university, he loves this community, he loves his teammates and coaches. Should he have left last summer?

Almost everyone in their right mind said YES.

But he came back to capture something this university has only done 7 times in the 61 years of a hockey program. He came back because of brotherhood, camaraderie, and helping this team win a National Championship. Nothing more, nothing less.

You find out the character of people in times of distress or adversity. Go ahead and jump off the bandwagon. This kid won't bolt because he has integrity and his word IS AS SOLID AS OAK!

Take a good hard look at everyone on this board and tell me, honestly, you've never did something you might regret if you got caught. I can only imagine the stories which would fill up a sermon on Sunday's.

Stick with these kids and support them through thick and thin. You should feel blessed that kids like TJ Oshie don't come around very often.

To all haters out there who thinks this doesn't hurt his soul ... shame on you.

    I agree 110%

  7. I have read the much larger thread full of speculation on TJ's behavior, his habits off the ice, even people searching his facebook page. I wanted to start this thread for standing by TJ. First of all, an arrest is not a conviction, and in this country you are innocent until proven guilty. Second of all, I'm sure he feels dumb about this whole thing, and from what I know about him, what hurts him the most is probably the suspension and the feeling that he is letting down his teammates, we fans, and especially kids. Do not berate this outstanding young man. TJ, you have my support 100%. We believe in you as a leader on the ice as a scorer and off the ice as a person . Thank you, TJ. Good Luck and God Bless.

finally, a positive thread about this whole issue. Its not like he commited a murder!

    YEA SIOUX SIOUX!

    i support you, osh!
