    Taxi costs

    The Metro Transit also has a very helpful "Trip Planner" feature where you can enter your address/landmark and time of travel and it will give you some options for how to get there. It's on the upper-right corner of the website: http://www.metrotransit.org/

    There is also a number you can call and, from my experience, they would be more than willing to help you out to find the best plans as well. Once on the bus, the drivers are also usually very friendly and will help you get where you need to go.

    We took a taxi from the Xcel to Maple Grove it cost us $ 85.00 with Tip was gave him $ 100.00, LOL O yea we were all Drunk as a Skunk, Ha . But hey its alot

    cheaper then a DUI,,,,,,,,, that was not it, that ride to a Bar in Maple Grove, Then called a taxi to give us a ride to our hotel, and that was a another $ 25.00.

    It would have been cheaper but we had the Taxi Driver go threw Taco Bell Drive threw so we could get sum food..........LOL

    PS We even bought the driver a taco, but he declined.........

    Got tickets today, sadly they are standing room, but just grateful to go to the games without paying WAY too much. Fighting Sioux Hockey will be coming with me.

    All I know is, I will NEVER BYE anything othere then Sioux stuff as long as im attending UND sporting events, I got

    enough Sioux jerseys and sweatshrits to last me untill I'm in the ground.............

    I cant beleave how much money will be lost in Sioux apparel sales comparded to a New or No Nickname over the years by getting rid of the name,,,,

    PS Sum of names brought up Christ forget it.... either the U of North Dakota or UND Fighting SOO!!!

    Is it time to Fire Hak?

    As I was once called out (then complained and had my reference stricken), I am going to make my position known officially.

    Hak should not be fired.

    It is important to look at all the factors, not just wins and losses. This loss, while disappointing, can be chalked out to being outhustled and being taken off our game. It can happen. We made a strong comeback in the third.

    Yale's goals were the result of:

    Goal 1: lucky bounce, tip, and traffic.

    Goal 2: defensive breakdown and a nice offensive play.

    Goal 3: defensive breakdown and being outskated to a rebound.

    In a one and done playoff, anything can happen. We took an extremely immature team, without our only established star, with a hodge podge on defense(due to injury) to the big dance.

    Losing to DU under Blaiser with the Parise, Bochenski, Murray, Stafford, Greene, Jones and Smaby team was a loss that hurt more, as we were extremely talented.

    Losing to BC with the highest drafted team in Sioux history including the DOT line hurt more, as again, we were more talented.

    This was not our year from the moment that Chay went down. Maybe even before, as we had no big time scorers. The coaching staff and team leaders changed the course of a "doomed" season and gave us some great games. I give the likes of Hak and Jackson props for doing all they could with this squad.

    I hate to blame the officials for a loss, but the Sioux were up against the wall once it was determined that the heavy physical play, if at all questionable, would be called. Additionally, the TV timeouts and the heavy stickwork, and fear of playing too physical killed the Sioux.

    The turning point of the game was when what looked to be a 5 on 3 powerplay became 4 on 4 hockey due to JG taking a little bit of a liberty and the Eli embellishing (read: diving to make scsu or robbie earl proud), and Hexy going to the box for his mouth.

    Fienhage and Pointer and Blood just weren't fast enough to match up down low with the speedy midgets in blue.

    Game, set, match.

    We can rest assured that we will have a legit chance at the NCAAs again next year, Yale? Who knows...I guess they can feel good about having so many US Presidents as distinguished alumni...maybe this loss is George Bush's fault : )

    thay could not play like there used to playimg (Physical) I guess loseing 3-2 and only playing 20 min of the game is not bad............... because the first 2 periods were BAD, Just Bummed out.......

    If it's anything like Game 3 of the Denver playoff series at home about 5 years ago, the place should be a madhouse tonight!

    I hope so Shawn-O I was cheering loud, but if the Sioux come out and put 1 or 2 on the board early in the first that seems to keep

    the place rocking all night long.... Go Getum Sioux!!!!

    This is why we worked so hard for home-ice advantage. The last line change/match-ups/crowd/rink/etc.

    If we can't win 2 out of 3 in our own building, we don't deserve to be in St. Paul next week.

    Well Said Lefty... I want no excuses if the Sioux play poorly, and there not at St.Paul. Now GO MOP THE ICE WITH THEM RODENTS!!!

    Thoughts and prayers to Troy and his family. Although I only met him a few times, he always provided a laugh and was Sioux fan through and through. You will be missed Triouxper, RIP.

    Troy was one of my best friends, Troy and his family are so loveing and careing people It was a sad day for me that troys life was cut short, Im going to miss him, he loved Sioux Hockey and hockey in general, we would go to sum high school hockey games and just hang out.

    I hope everbody says a pray for troys family, it was really sad to be there and see it....... I will miss you bro your friend allways Kalen

    I like Duncan. Duncan is a very good player. Duncan seems to be a very good person too. Thank god he did what was best for the team and came back. Unfortunately, the best move for him as an individual, would have been to jump ship after last season. Everyone here remembers Bryan Lundbohm. Lundbohm left early because he realized that he would never duplicate the stats he had playing with Jeff Panzer that year. Most people must have realized that Toews/Oshie were responsible for much of Duncan's success. Once again, don't jump all over me because I like Duncan and he knows how to score when he gets the puck around the net which is a gift. However, he for the most part is not the type of player that creates his own shot, he needs to be set up.

    Wow, how bad do some of you hate Hakstol today. I mean, Hak actually suspended him for a game. All we're doing is talking about it on the internet.

    I'm sure Hak was slapping Oshie on the back and telling him what a great guy he is while he handed down that 1 gamer, too.

    Umile gets the word from Radja and suspends him for at least 2 games. I guess Umile must be overreacting too. He, too, must have been just pleased with his boy during that conversation.

    I am not so sure that would work. We still don't have ESPNU in Grand Forks or on Midco...

    No worriers here, SiouxBomb and the boys are heading to Madison for the games. then for the football game at Green Bay for the Vikings/packers on sunday.........

    I know it's early yet but any news on Malone and his shoulder injury?Hope the kid will be okay.

    When I saw the replay it didn't look good, he couldn't even hold his stick....I hope it was just a stinger??
