The frustrating part is that the Sioux scored a goal doing exactly what Hakstol said they needed to do: go hard to the net and jam it in. But then they get called for having a man in the crease. The guys have to be extemely frustrated.
Second period ends with Hennessy saying that the Sioux are literally having their way with the Tigers, but can't score. He says the Sioux look like they're on the power play when it's 5 on 5.
It's Tigers 1, Sioux 0 at the end of the second period.
I thought CC was one of the teams in the WCHA with video replay on goals. Sounds like this was a time when it should be used. Hennessy thinks Porter was knocked into the crease.
Of course, the fact that Frank Kollar, father of Andy Kollar, had the most to do with Spirko coming from Slovakia to the US had nothing to do with Spirko ending up at UND.
We understand how good they are. This is the fourth time we've played them. So far, every game has been decided by one goal. It's UND's turn to win this one.
