  1. I am in Grand forks this weekend, (what are the odds I get up here on a weekend without Sioux hockey at the REA?) without my Directv and am presuming that most of the sports bars will have Directv and Tonights game. Is there anyone in GF who can confirm that? In the Cities we have Joe Sensor's to watch the game. Where should I check here in GF?

    Thanks!

    Squirtcoach.

It's on channel 317 so all of the bars in GF will have the game on. I would go to Jake's big TV's good drink specials and food is good.

  2. Just wanted to share this with as many people as possible there is a vendor/craft fair at the Alerus on 9 April (9-3) and this is free. 3. From everything I've witnessed, North Dakota is not a culinary hotspot by any means.

    Start here:

-Authentic Mexican (Paradiso or that other place on Washtington...yuck!). Authentic Mexican food, made by Mexicans, is the bomb

-A good burger place. Do not tell me that there is one in Grand Forks, because that means you've never had a GOOD burger.

-Broasted Chicken. Italian Moon does have Broasted Chicken, but I think I'm probably the only person that ever had it there (and it wasn't too shabby). The only other person in GF I ever met who had broasted chicken was from Nebraska.

-A good Italian/Pasta place. Sure, there are restaurants that deal with Pasta, and I know Guiseppe's (sp?) is a higher-priced authentic Italian place, but I'm talking a decent mid-level price point Italian...like a Johnny Carino's.

Boardwalk bar and grill on the east side has pretty good burgers and the buns are from Dakota Harvest.

Also Mama Marias is on the East Side good Italian

And the new Little Bankock with thai and sushi

Babylon downtown for middle eastern food

I have traveled the world and these places are good knock offs. Being from Kansas we know our Beef!

And for a non chain place to make it here the folks in the area would need to eat there but everyone wants what Fargo or the Cities had because that is the what they know.

  4. Taking a gloved hand and smearing around the other players mask/face. Pretty much what moms do to little kids, making it a mild insult to the face washer. (As it too timid to actually fight.)

That is the funniest thing Thanks for sharing

  5. I didn't realize we had that many tankers. I guess if we are able to get our foot back into the door with 4 to 12 tankers we might have a pretty good chance to get more. If we are able to get some tankers it is a real good sign for the future. Thanks for the info.

Just asked my hubby seems how he is a crew chief on them. They started out with 4 squadrons and slowly broke them down one by one.

  6. I agree with that. A few of those comments about ND and the doctor werent necessary. Still wish him the best of luck though.

Laughter is the best medicine. And it was his way of coping with it all. And beside have you any of you visited our ER for an ermgency? I have and have taken my daughter in for a side ache they told us she pulled a muscle gave her ibuprofen. She was in so much pain she couldn't breath. Come to find out she had dislocated her floating rib. Once we got it back in place she was fine. Yes its a training hospital so things happen. Kind of reminds me of a military hospital.

  7. My husband is retiring from the AF 7 Jan 2011 after 25 years in and we will have family in town to celebrate. I'm looking for 6-10 tickets that are together or close together. I wish we could afford a suite but that just isn't in our budget. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the end to his service than a great hockey game with family and friends.

    Thanks so much

I'm still looking for tickets. I have found 4 so still need 6 prefer close together if possible. You can email me at kathy.shoemaker@und.edu

  8. This little Sioux fan needs your support, sorry if this is in the wrong thread

  10. I didnt know where else to put this so I decided on here. I just wanted to attach a caringbridge website for one of my friends kids. Little Ryker is currently in Meritcare(Sanford) in the PICU. Today is a big day for this little man as they slowly wean him off of the vent. So all your prayers and thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
