  1. Although I would agree they have to be considered the early odds-on favorite to win another state championship I won't go as far as to suggest they'll go undefeated and nobody in North Dakota will play a close game with them. I'm sure they'll get beat by a couple of Minnesota teams and will have some close games against some North Dakota teams.

    i agree with riders06 red river will go undefeated if they play as good as they should. they will have 2 of the best lines in the state with crary meland and schafer and vigen simonson and bancroft. they will be very good defensively as they will have both ladoucer and galbreath and will be anchored by arnason inbetween the pipes

  2. Here are my STATE predcitions for the tourny

    South Over Bis. Century

    Grafton Over Minot

    DL Over Bis. High

    RR Over Williston

    Grafton Over South

    RR Over DL

    South for 3rd Place

    RR gets Cocky loss to Grafton

    But dont get me wrong i would like to see it stay in Grand Forks

    so from a central student GOOD LUCK RED RIVER!!

    i dont think red river is gonna try to be cocky this time around with grafton if all your other predictions are right they lost to grafton last time and most of the players from the team are probably still remembering the loss in the championship game last year all im trying to say is that if red river gets to the championship this year they are gonna take care of business

  3. I would agree with UND92,96. Look at Minnesota hockey. Formerly, the schools from the Range, as well as St. Paul city schools (like St. Paul Johnson), and blue-collar suburbs like South St Paul and Richfield were hockey powers. Now, the top ten rated hockey schools in Minnesota highly correlate with wealth.

    -->1. Holy Angel$

    2. Moorhead

    -->3. Roseville

    -->4. White Bear Lake

    -->5. Edina

    6. Roseau

    -->7. Duluth Ea$t

    -->8. Cretin-Derham Hall

    -->9. Hill-Murray

    -->10. Minnetonka

    -->$$$'s

    Only two of the top 10 schools are from "average" areas. In Minnesota football and especially basketball, there is much less correlation.

    Against that list (and what surburban blue line clubs are able to raise), Roseau and Moorhead's accomplishments are truly remarkable.

    so i guess in minnesota you have to pay to win games whoever has the most money is gonna win. Is that how it goes? the answer is no!!! everyone still plays the games every team still has to work to win you dont just win because you have alot of money

  4. wait a minute...the real argus leader? I would love to get his autograph, i cant imagine the price of that on Ebay. I believe Wurden is going to Sioux City, not Omaha.

    oh and the new texas roadhouse opened on monday i heard sam hellekson one of red rivers BIGGEST fans is working there has anyone heard any new information on this

  5. I have seen Grafton play twice this season, both in the last week and they can down right skate.

    Who ever plays them is going to have their hand full. They are my dark horse team this year.

    grafton is a good team but both south and red river can skate with them even in red rivers loss to grafton they outshot grafton about 14-32

  6. I agree, they would need to win the west and hope someone like Shanley sneeks in the 4th seed from east. They wouldn't beat North, Central, DL, but maybe West Fargo.

    Definately not RR, South, nor Grafton-Park River

    Minot will not make it past the first round this year for one reason and one reason only they cant break tradition they always have a good year and get their hopes up but when state comes around they play teams from the east who are just much better and Minot finds themself playing for consolation after the first game on thursday

  7. What's the most surprising game? Central let in 3 against whap? Red River Sqweak by a very very average EGF team? Or South beat DL by 4 after red river beat them by one?

    Well lets break it down. . . Central is bad so that really didn't surprise me too much. Red River isn't that good, except against south so that didn't surprise me too much. South has pretty much done it all this year so nothing would ever surprise me with them, They could have lost by 15 and I wouldn't have been shocked.

    I guess nothing really surprised me tonight.

    How is red river not that good they have only lost to one team. They have no losses in North Dakota. That makes them pretty good if you ask me.
