  1. Just thought I'd let everybody know in case you havent scene the stats yet

    N.J. wins 3 - 2 over Ottawa

ZACH PARISE had 1 goal (game winner) and 2 assists and TRAVIS ZAJAC had 3 assists for the Devils tonight

  2. Heres the game plan for our opponents the rest of the year broken down by period

1st period - Take some cheap shots at the Sioux in the 1st, maybe go down1,2, or 3 goals,

2nd Period - In the second piss off one or two of our undisaplined defensemen with another cheap shot thus

sending them to the penalty box

    - Score 3 - 5 goals on our bad PK

3rd period - Hope the Sioux dont score in the third

  3. What they should do to help fill more seats is to handle the season tickets the way they handle the upperbowl student tickets. This way Season ticket holders would be able to pick up their tickets 10-14 days before the game, and then if they do not pick up their tickets by the Thurday before the game people could then buy those tickets Friday before the game. This way you can help out those people you cant afford the season tickets, but would like better seats then those in the upper corners. This way you can get recent graduates who are still living in the area that will actually cheer and be loud for their team. And this will also benefit the damn REA managers that only care about money (because they sure dont give a hoot about the team or the students) since they can make more of it.

  4. Simon and Garfunkel songs like Cecilia (can't remember if it was played Fri or Sat but I remember hearing it) and "Let My Love Open the Door" by Pete Townshend are not songs that should be played at hockey games. Its not that I don't like Simon and Garfunkel or Townshend, but there is a reason why just about every stadium and arena in the country plays songs by:

    AC/DC

    Aerosmith

    Alice in Chains

    Black Sabbath/Ozzy

    Guns 'N' Roses

    Judas Priest

    Metallica

    Motley Crue

    Scorpions

    Van Halen

    and others

The songs by these bands are loud and energetic and that

  5. While at the Manitoba game last week and the two games this weekend my friends and I couldn't help but notice how horrible the music at The Ralph has been so far. The music they are playing during warm ups and breaks in the action this season flat out sucks compared to the music over the last few years .

First of all the music during warm ups is absolutely horrible. How could you ever replace the opening song "Right Now" by Van Halen (which they have been using for the 4 year that I have been going to games) with "The Kids Aren't Alright" by The Offspring? Tell me how you replace a band that has one of the greatest guitarist of all time with a whinny pathetic power-cord playing band. I don

  6. I stayed up to watch the replay of the Broncos/Lions game on the NFL network.

Kuper did really good. He came into the game along with the rest of the second team o-line on the Broncos second offensive possesion. I went to bed after the 3rd quarter so i don't know how much he played after that but i know he played from midway throught the first until then. I saw about 5-6 possesion and maybe 35-40 plays with him in the game. Thats kind off a educated guess on the plays I cant quite remeber the exact amount of plays. For his first preseason game his play was very good. I thought he did better in pass protection doing a really good job keeping his feet moving. The DT that he was up against tride doing a lot of spins and bull rushes and every time Kuper seemed to handle him pretty well even putting him to his knees once or twice. In rushing plays he also did good but did miss a couple cut blocks. Kuper did have one really good block on a DE when he pulled around and drove him towards the sideline for a couple yards as the running back went behind him through the 5 hole. I would saw that the Broncos deffinately have themselve one heck of a lineman and I wouldn't be surprised to see him starting in a couple of years.

  7. For those who don't know AD Tom Buning had a meeting with student season ticket holders last season which discussed the rules for the student section. During the meeting a raise of hands vote was taken to see if students would rather sit on one end of the rink and be able to stand or stay in their present location and only be allowed to stand at certain times during the game (like after a goal or big hit). A slight majority of the students actually voted to move to the end of the rink. After this Buning said that he would then consider a possible move for the lower bowl student section.

So I was wondering if anybody has heard anything on where the lower bowl student section is going to be for the 06-07 hockey season, and what their opinion is for where they want it to be.

Personally I would rather have the better view with center ice seats and the ability to annoy apposing team players in the penalty box.
