What makes you jump to the conspiracy argument? You know it’s incredibly rare for a 1/1 ratio between caregiver and patients right? They must be including administrative staff.

Administrative, dietary, part-timers, and staffing to cover 168 hours/week may get the staff to patient ratio close to 1:1.

In the current situation, I am looking at the courts to decide which networks or parties have been telling more of the truth.

I don’t believe that misinformation is new to either party or cable news station.

I remember growing up where there were only three tv stations. Never questioned any of the information. Things have definitely changed. I always have my radar up now as I watch or hear.

I believe trump has taken things to an unacceptable level and has to be replaced. Have said many times here that I believe he is a threat to our democracy. He continues to lie. He has convinced a big part of the country in conspiracy after conspiracy. He has consolidated powers in himself so even respectful Republicans are afraid to speak up. IMHO Trump is not a statesman. And has done a disservice to the country. Though I agree with many of his policies. Personal loyalty is demanded by Trump over the country. We can’t have that.

Ronnie's revocation of the Fairness Doctrine back in 1987 started that ball rolling.  The ball picked up speed once CNN had competition, and then it got a big kick and set on fire once the whole internet/social media/advertising revenue cesspool created a new accessible financial model for echo chambers.

This came across my Twitter feed today. Apparently, published this story and then deleted it. Why?

This is a pretty thorough explanation-

    https://retractionwatch.com/2020/11/27/johns-hopkins-student-newspaper-deletes-then-retracts-article-on-faculty-members-presentation-about-covid-19-deaths/

Looks like "Just the News" forgot to mention that it was from the student newspaper, along with plenty of other inaccuracies. Not that big of a deal as most of their readers don't make it past the headline.

this article seems to be pretty neutral.
    found this interesting about Philadelphia:

“Biden actually won Philadelphia by thousands fewer votes than Clinton. But he more than made up for it in the suburbs. In just four counties — Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Bucks — Biden improved on the 2016 margin by about 100,000 votes.”

And yet, only 1 of those 4 counties use Dominion voting machines, touted as possibly hackable by some cesspool website admin that skimmed over the owner's manual.

"Dominion voting equipment is used by 1.3 million voters in 14 Pennsylvania counties: York, Erie, Montgomery, Bedford, Armstrong, Carbon, Crawford, Clarion, Fayette, Luzerne, Fulton, Jefferson, Pike and Warren."

They want you to focus on anything but the substance of the claims.

    What substance?

If by substance you’re referring to rehashed conspiracy theories that have already been thrown out of the courts, hypotheticals, massive leaps in logic, links to tweets, the ghost of Hugo Chavez, plaintiffs that are asking to be removed, then there’s already plenty of people that have completely torn apart the claims.  Beyond that, there’s no signs of substance in the claims.

If you believe there’s anything of substance in either claim, go ahead and state what their most powerful argument will be. I’ll be waiting outside the echo chamber.

Both claims can be summed up by:“We don’t have any proof of voter fraud because it’s impossible to get proof of voter fraud, therefore, our proof of fraud is that we don’t have any proof! Oh yeah, here’s a guy from Venezuela that pinky promises he was Hugo’s #1 guy.  And another guy that briefly read the Dominion owner manual. #Kraken unleashed!”

Show me a 104 page document without editorial problems and I’ll show a book never written.

The best tech manuals I’ve ever seen were US Navy reactor operations manuals and their goal was one mistake per 25 pages.

PS - if you want to divert the attention to edits, why don’t you want to talk about the substance?

Spelling district incorrectly twice in the opening line of the GA lawsuit doesn’t exactly set a stage in which some basic fact (and spell) checking was conducted.

Substance? Where is it in these hastily thrown together lawsuits in which previously debunked conspiracy theories are mashed up into a Gish gallop? Just like her busking website or these lawsuits were something that was thrown together at the last minute.
She’s go her grift going and will probably have a book out as soon as this is over.  All potatoes and no meat.

As Clara Peller so eloquently stated, “Where’s the beef?”

Why has one of the plaintiffs listed (Shepherd) already come out and say that he has bit agreed to take part in the lawsuit?

Defending the Republic was established by Sidney Powell. Their goal is to defend and to protect the integrity of elections in the United States.

    B. UNLAWFUL EARLY PROCESSING OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS

    C. UNLAWFUL AUDIT PROCEDURES

II. EVIDENCE OF FRAUD – A PATTERN SHOWING THE ABSENCE OF MISTAKE

COUNT III – DENIAL OF DUE PROCESS – DISPARATE TREATMENT OF ABSENTEE/MAIL-IN VOTERS AMONG DIFFERENT COUNTIES

COUNT IV – DENIAL OF DUE PROCESS ON THE RIGHT TO VOTE

The biggest laugh in that whole thing is they have Ron Watkins, former (as in just after the election former) admin for qanon home 8kun,  as a cybersecurity “expert”.  At best he’s the Tom Clancy of voting machines after “skimming” over the owner’s manual from Dominion.  Hopefully we can watch as he’s going to get roasted in court.  His interview on OAN was hilarious.  The courts have already thrown out testimony that was tied to qanon conspiracy theories in MI, wonder what they’ll do to someone with ties to the Q account?

Pretty clear why the Trump team distanced themselves from Sidney now.  She obviously said I’m going full on Q and the rest of the Trump team said, “Yeah, we’re crazy but not that crazy”.

  8. In Mason's last year his team got outplayed by NDSU and was lucky to escape with a win. There is no excuse for that. The Barber/Maroney era Gophers would have destroyed the Bison by 50+ points, so yeah they had declined massively. That decline is what led to Mason's dismissal.

The Barber/Maroney era Gophers could barely walk away from a 4-7 Illinois State with a two score margin of victory. It's doubtful that they would destroy anyone by 50+ points.

  9. Standing Rock shouldn't have to grant approval AGAIN because the ceremony that took place in 1969 was sacred and can't ever be undone. Therefore UND did gain approval from both tribes, fulfilling their end of the settlement.

That doesn't support the criteria set forth in the settlement,Section 2c- http://www.ag.state.nd.us/ncaa/SettlementAgreement.pdf

For purposes of this Agreement, namesake approval from Standing Rock shall be adopted by any means allowed in the Tribe's Constitution and shall be in writing. For purposes of this Agreement, withdrawal of approval by either Tribe shall be memorialized in the same form as the approval.
  10. 1. Why would he present. UND hasn't applied.

    2. " ... until the logo issue is resolved one way or the other ... " (emphasis added) Which means the Summit just wants this resolved. Well duh. That clock is ticking with the NCAA. And mentioning them ...

    3. UND hasn't applied. So why is the Summit commenting? Did they get a nudge from someone (Myles Brand? someone else?)?

Looks like the Herald had the truncated version of the story The Summit League: Rivalry hits another roadblock

UND and South Dakota have applied for Summit League membership. Both schools consider the league a good fit geographically and athletically.
  11. I used an online countdown calendar so I wouldn't have to do the math...

    :D

If you don't count the present day then you should have the following (as of 01JUL08):

    02JUL2008 to 30JUN2009 364 days

    01JUL2009 to 30JUN2010 365 days

    01JUL2010 to 30JUN2011 365 days

    01JUL2011 to 30JUN2012 366 days

=1460 days remaining as of 01JUL2008

So, now it's just a countdown of the number of days in NCAA purgatory- ending June 30, 2012? Maybe my online countdown sites are incorrect, but it looks like June 30th, 2012 will be zero on the countdown. Shouldn't it be one, as in one day left until July 1, 2012?

  12. Does anybody know or remember just how good Carson Neuman was the year they played the Bison? I really don't care what they did previous years. NDSU usually bases everything about the strength of their schedule on what teams did in the past and not how strong they actually were the year NDSU plays them. NDSU fans are apparently worried that our schedule isn't tough enough. They usually say we don't try to schedule good teams. This year we tried our best to get as tough of schedule as possible. Some of those tough teams were even penciled on the schedule till they backed out on us. I think they need to stop worrying about us. For all the spouting off their doing, their having a hard time filling their own schedule right now . There done with transition and the mighty bison can't fill there own schedule. Maybe they should worry more about themselves and less about UND.

Carson-Newman was ranked #3 in the AFCA DII poll when NDSU played them.

  13. I'm sure that you are probably joking about calling. But just so those don't know ... no tampering with recruits by boosters.

    I hope he was joking.

I found this about contacting recruits families:

NCAA Rules Regarding Contacts with High School and Junior College Recruit:

You May Not make any contact with arecruit or the recruit's family on or off the institution's campus. If a coach has a recruit at an athletic event, you should not approach the coach until the recruit and family have gone elsewhere. If a recruit approaches you off campus regarding the athletics program, explain that NCAA rules do not permit you to discuss the program. Suggest that the prospect contact the head coach of the sport for information. Remember; this prohibition of contact includes telephone calls and letters to a prospect and/or members of their family.

Definitely a road we don't want to follow.

  14. Former powerhouse Seattle U looks at return to Division I

Looks like Seattle U did not make the deadline for declaring next year it's exploratory one. Was it ever officially announced that UND sent in its paperwork for for a 2007-8 exploratory year before the end of 2006?

    20.5.2 Requesting Reclassification

20.5.2.1 Deadline for Submission of Petition. When petitioning for change of division member-

ship, a member shall notify the Division I Management Council Membership Subcommittee on an

application approved by the subcommittee. The application shall be received in the national office

(by mail or wired transmission)not later than June 1 prior to the academic year that the institu-

tion begins its one-year exploratory period in the reclassification process. Any application received

after that date shall be postmarked not later than May 25. Afee of $15,000 shall accompany the

application. If the applicant fails to qualify for active membership, the application fee shall be

refunded, less any expenditure for educational costs related to the membership process. (Revised:
