  1. Even so, would you rather have JT O'Sullivan instead? (I wish I had a puking smilie to install here)

Well, at least the Vikes didn't trade for McMahon or O'Sullivan.

I agree that the Vikings might be in some serious trouble if BJ goes down....but the thing of it is that we KNOW it's going to happen, it's just a matter of when. Name the last year that we had our QB the entire season....we will wind up with our second stringer in there at some point this year, and let's pray to god that it's Jackson and not McMahon. (no offense JFR)

Jackson has shown some flashes during the last two preseason games, and I think with a little more time could be holding the reins of this Vikings offense.

  2. Hey, smart aleck, I'm about 70 miles north of that area and travel down to Mankato pretty much every year the Sioux play there. I'm completely familiar with the area.

Many apologies if my post came across as smart-a$$ish...I wasn't trying to "show you up."

I wanted to agree with Sioux 7>5...that we were lucky based on the traffic and design of that highway. I wouldn't have given you a detailed description of the road if I knew you lived in the Twin Cities area.

  3. I'm not sure how "we're" lucky in this instance unless you happened to be walking across Highway 169 the other night when a car doing about 110 mph's rolled by right in front of you...

"You"personally might not think that 'you' were lucky or unlucky in the sense that you were 350 miles away when the chase took place. I'll tell you this though....10:30pm on 169 is not a deserted area. He's EXTREMELY lucky that his dumba$$ didn't crash into another vehicle and cause serious bodily injury or death; or he'd have a lot more to worry about then which football team is gonna give him his next shot. That highway is not like I-29 which is straight and built for speeds in excess of 75 miles an hour. Hwy 169 is narrow, and is somewhat unpredictable in the dark, making it tough to drive more than 75 miles an hour. Fortunately the 13 mile stretch between St. Peter and Mankato is straighter than the rest of it.

I still don't know how he managed to go that fast and keep the vehicle on the road....must be the fact he had a BMW.

  4. Geeze....

Yeah, not everyone can be Warrick Dunn or Dwayne Wade. Even poster boys Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Kirby Puckett got themselves into a little trouble---reiterating the point that not everyone is perfect. But to suggest that they all are gang--bangers and would be in prison if not for professional athletics?? That's not right....nor is it fair.

Don't let a few bad apples.....

  5. I think the audience, including TV viewers, should also wear helmets, visors and Kevlar vests. God forbid a puck gets past the netting, or somebody drops a brat on the guy in front of them. If people are afraid of getting hurt, they should take up soccer, or spelling bees.

This doesn't appear to be the safest route to go either....this guy needs two helmets. :D

  6. For the time being, it has been serving as a great asset to some of the other athletic teams on campus. Track and Field/CC & Baseball have benefitted from this building immensely. T & F/CC had been using the concourse as an area to work out (sprints...ect) and Baseball has been taking their pitchers over there to work on individual bullpens and longtoss...they also were able to use the concourse for conditioning. I believe that it was also used by the ROTC to do some of their early morning workouts and whatnot, and the old scoreboard from the Hyslop had been stored there as well.

I realize however, that aside from the extra space that allowed these programs the freedom to do some different things with their respective squads, this building has to be a financial burden on the University. I will be sad to see it go...lots of memories from the old place.

  7. This is not starting rumors? It was never stated that NDSU must make a 10 year commitment or anything about exit penalties. You guys are priceless!

These people are asking questions (see the question marks?) not declaring that they know anything for sure...and if you had any reading comprehension skills, you'd know that too. I'm sure they've heard a lot of different things, and are asking their peers whether or not they've heard the same. You're a big whiner, and apparently don't know how to read. Go cry someplace else.

  8. This is absolutely horrible...as FOS said, there are no words to even describe how angry and disgusted I am. I now feel even worse for her family (if that was even possible to begin with). I pray to God that justice prevails....

  9. I got a good laugh that morning when K-DOG snapped on sywg and swore at him. Didn't the dog get banned from there show for like two weeks. Well, it just meant those other radio stations were busy taking calls from the dog.

    :love::lol::D:);)

ROFLMAO....you're kidding right?? K Dawg actually did this??

That man is FREE COMEDY....good ole' K Dawg!

  10. Jeez, Don't you know that you have to wear rose tinted glasses because its the only type that cuts down on the reflected light from the 7 NCAA Division I Ice Hockey Champion trophys!

PS Standard $4 glasses from 7-11 should work fine on viewing your Div II collection or do you even recognize that anymore since you are Division IAA?

    Oooooh BURN!!!

JBB, err...Di in fargo....you should put some aloe on that one.

  11. Hmmm, I don't believe any DI conference selection committees will be visiting Grand Forks this week.

    Whooooooooaa!!!! BURN!!!

Dave, you'd better put an ice pack on that one....

  12. The big Mandan boy is already in the office at football....just a matter of timing to announce it....emergency hire....great for him....great for UND...he is a class act....and usually a good guy...even though he is from Mandan...

You've been talking to Kauker too much there Legend..... ???;);)

  13. Great for the Sioux. HUGE hit for the CHS athletic department. They've really lost some good people this summer. But, then again, it is Crookston. ???;)

    ah, ah, ah....be nice! ???

Crookston was very lucky to have Eric Schmidt coach in both of the positions that he did in that athletic department...but Eric was lucky to have Crookston too!! They offered him a head job in what, his first year out of college? It was a pretty good fit for both sides...

  14. Dose goofy lookin' mounties pulled us over, made us get out da car and pull all da luggage out, eh. Den dose hosers made deir dogs sniff da bags....dey musta wanted to make sure dat we were comin' to da states with clean clothes, eh? ???

  15. One of my friends from my hometown is a chiropractor, whether or not he's still in GF and still practicing is to be determined. His name is Mike Biermaier and he was (maybe still is) an assistant for the men's track and field at UND. The guy is AWESOME when it comes to crackin backs, and if you could find him, I would HIGHLY recommend seeing this guy.

I apologize as this might turn out to be useless information...he could be in Crookston too (his brother runs a chiropractic clinic in Crookston as well).

  16. That quote IS interesting....I wonder if he was referring to his switch to football after his eligibility was up with basketball. Probably not wanting to play a guy that had only devoted one season of practice to the football team over a guy that had spent 4-5 years in the program...maybe those are the politics he's referring to.

I thought Mustard played quite a bit in his only season on the gridiron, or am I wrong?? :D

Here's something else I thought was interesting:

Far different from what he experienced at the University of North Dakota, where, in spite of the program's low profile in Division II, he still managed to nab the notice of NFL scouts enough to collar an invitation to the National Scouting Combine, where he had his first contact with the Broncos.

...is this what you call a program that has had two recent appearances in the Natty title game (one win), and playoff appearances in all but one of the last 6 years? Or am I being a little over zealous with our football program?

  17. I just wanted to point out that I don't think anyone in here has tried to defend Alfonso...I know that these are all posts in support of faith in our justice system, and the right to a fair trial.

I also agree with what being said, it just sucks that it needs to be drug out, appealled...ect. I also don't fault the attorneys. Everyone needs representation, especially for something like this.
