  1. This may be a long shot but thought I would give it a try!  I currently have 4 tickets in Sec 107, Row C that I share with my folks.  Well, the folks are getting older and are starting to have issues with going down the stairs to the seats.  I am looking to see if anyone that sits in the same section, or 106, that sits up higher and would like to trade tickets?  Either 2 or 4 seats can be traded (I don't HAVE to sit by the parents :-)).  Thanks!

  2. The EGF Pee Wees didn't do very well. We faced Bismarck on Friday evening and lost 4-3 in OT on the main REA sheet, I missed that game as I was at my Mite's game at the EGF Civic Center. On Saturday they faced Carman, MB again at REA and played pretty uninspired, lost 4-2. Sunday they faced Assiniboa West, MB at Gambucci and pulled out a season ending win, 5-2.

Now my son starts with his AAA team, the '95 Lumberjacks, in Blaine on Thursday in the Showcase Hockey AAA League. He got drafted by this team and they play out of the Schwan Super Rink. This will start 10 practices, 14 games and 3 tournaments within league play and the International Cup Tournament at the Super Rink in late June and early July and Hockey Fest in Alexandria in late July.

I watched the EGF/Bismarck game that day - Bismarck won by pure luck! My son's team was playing the winner of your game - the kids were rooting for EGF, as we had not played your team at all this past year.

Good luck on the AAA team! I'm jealous - we just got screwed over on our spot on a AAA team by a rival team parent who decided to put himself in charge of everything, including who plays. Gotta love those hockey politics!

  3. CHAMPIONSHIPS

Mites - GF Blues over Fargo

Squirt B - Sioux City over Hallock

Squirt A - Fargo over GF Blues

    PeeWee B - ? ? ?

Estevan, Sask won the PWB bracket - I don't remember who they played, but it ended up in 2 OTs. Estevan beat my son's team in the 3rd round - they had some big kids! I could swear two of them were at least 6ft tall!

  4. The Suite (whatever#) bar located just northeast of The Ralph ran a parking deal most of last year wherein you pay $10 to park in their lot, and then after the game turn in your parking pass for $10 credit toward hors d' oeurves, alcohol, etc. Don't know if they still do it.

Yes, they are still offering the $10 parking at Suite 49. Pay $10 and get a $10 voucher to use inside for drinks/apps/etc before or after the game. However, less parking than last year, as we used the land to the east for parking, and now some strip mall is being built there.

  5. Like I said when I started this thread quite weeks ago: Commy will likely be bringing the cup to GF.

My friends in Fargo (huge Sioux fans) just sent me a picture of themselves with the stanley cup they took at Cullen's charity event on Friday (7/21). Commodore was there, and told them he would be in GF on August 22nd, at the Ralph. She said Commodore stole the show, and answered lots of questions!

  6. The name on center ice is "UND". The explanation is that the abbreviation could be larger than the logo (per neutrality regulations), more visible on TV and easily identify us to everyone other than the WCHA advertising/marketing people.

My son played in a tourney this past weekend at the Ralph - he was disappointed that the logo was gone, but still a great opportunity for him to play in this beautiful arena. I heard rumors that it cost over $20k to re-do the ice.

Although they say that the logo wasn't removed because of NCAA rules, I think they removed it to just avoid any negative publicity.
