No way you can go against the Miracle on Ice.
Unfortunately, the Gophers ran into a good HC team that played their game very well. It happens. It happened against Alaska-Fairbanks to start the year, and it happened to end the season against HC. Oh well. I love watching Gopher hockey, but I'm over it. I'm more bummed about the fact that I might not get to see Potulny and Irmen dress in the maroon and gold anymore. Also hate to lose hard working, classy guys like Guyer, Sertich, Atherton, and Harrington too. That's a part of college sports though... here's to 2006-2007!

After Saturday's game, it may get difficult to regain some 'Fer fans back as I noticed close to a dozen sporting 'hand-made' Holy Cross T-Shirts and chanting "HOLY CROSS - HOLLY CROSS" throughout the game. They may have been converted? Obviously a retaliation to Sioux-per support for HC on Friday, but I thought that was so so cool! Solid hockey and 'Spirit' propelled HC. Playing the game in front of you and not jumping ahead to the next game was the difference-AGAIN!

There usually are tickets for sale outside the Front Entrance at the Ralph. I would think tonite there may be more....as there may be some Huskie rejects selling theirs so they can go to the local 'water hole' to continue drownin' their sorrows! (SNICKER)

If you can get ESPU (satellite) It's live tonite .. (I have DirecTV & fortunately I live in GF and have season tickets as well as these regional tickets. Hope you get this before gametime 8pm and have DirecTV.

I noticed Sat nite there were a lot of Gopher fans in street clothes and those few retaliators wearing newly purchased white T-shirts with Holy Cross drawn across by blue markers...and chanting 'Holy Cross, Holy Cross' throughout the game. A # of few-still proud Gopher fans were there, but a whole lot less of those funny 'M' jerseys could be seen.
I know for a fact the HC will be pulling for us at the FF because of our support for them Friday nite, even though cheers would still have been overwhelming if the Gophers were playing the Toodle Toos from Tootle Tee wherever that may be.
That's just the way it is.....and should be, eh?
