  1. Try this link . . . .

    Colorado Springs Craigslist

There is a scammer on Craigslist out of Denver. Do not buy from anyone expecting you to handle transaction through e-Bay with payment going to Western Union, and a "Payment Agent" in the United Kingdom.

Colorado Springs and Denver Craigslists will be a good potential source for folks still looking.

    Good luck.

Correct on the scammer in Denver... I ran into him/her last night. Too many things looked fishy, but i got the to the point of being asked to send it through Western Union.

  2. Hooligans in West Fargo will have the game Saturday AND Sunday. Pretty cool place. They have 6 100 inch TV's, decent seating and it won't be packed to the gills like BW's. And you can actually hear the game too!

It's just south of I94 on Sheyenne Street.

  3. At the risk of being ridiculed for not having an official link, and for being an extremely in-frequent poster, I heard tonight from a coach in the region with ties to the program that J-Par is likely making the jump. He has 4 teams interested in him and is close to signing a free agent contract. I didn't even know teams could sign un-drafted free agents right now. Anyone know any different? Hope it ain't true but he thought by the end of the weekend or by Monday something would be announced.

  4. My wife and I were there this weekend too. Wish we would've heard you cheering b/c we would've been right there with you. All in all I thought the fans were all right. Although it is funny that the ones causing problems just don't know the rules. Greene's handpass got quite the reaction in our section as well.

I thought the AR's overturning Schmidt was BS. There was a huge scramble in front of the net. There is no way an AR at the blue line and the red line can see it go in, unless they were judging by when Randy pointed to signal the goal. I honestly don't know if it was in before zero - close call and we have to live with judgement calls.

I will say that Bina looked as though he was on a mission all weekend. I was so impressed with his play Saturday night. He had a HUGE hit in the first that sent the WI guy into the boards hard. And then made a great play to get to get puck to Bochenski on their 2nd goal. As he was passing to Bo he took a hip check and literally did a flip in the air and landed on his back. He got right up and celebrated when the goal was scored.

No question about it, the Wisconsin student section is one of the best. And dare I say, 15,000 shouting sieve at Parise probably ratteled him a bit. I sure wish we could get that going at the Ralph.

  5. Actually all of the refs you see on the ice come up through the USA Hockey officiating program - of the officials in USA Hockey a select few are chosen to do the USHL type games and the other junior leagues. Most of those same refs also do the lower college level games - DII/DIII. From there they make their way to the big leagues, as picked by the various leagues around the country.

The idea of poor pay certainly isn't the issue. AR's make well over $100 per game, plus generous per diem. Referees make in the neighborhood of $250 per game plus per diem.

  6. I'm a ref myself and huge Sioux fan so it's pretty interesting to view things from that perspective. I get upset at games just like the rest of us, but the refs just don't see everything - and that's a part of hockey.

No doubt, players get labeled - even at the highschool level. But to say refs will call a game just to keep it interesting, or that they in a sense cheer for the underdog - that's just not the case. Especially at this level.

  7. Goon & Federov... Are you kidding me? Do you actually think that referees at that level are out to "screw" a team, or ref a game a certain way just to keep it interesting? I didn't see the games this weekend, but your idea is way off base. If a ref has a bad weekend he has a bad weekend. To think that the WCHA under the governing body of the NCAA runs their officiating that way is ludricrus. You really gotta get over the refs.

  8. Chad Dahlen did not ever play at Denver so he was never a part of that tackling fiasco of a team. I played with him in highschool. He's got a great head for hockey and should be able to contribute. Not much a scoring threat from the point but always plays his position well and is rarely on the ice when his teams gets scored on.

  9. Goon I think you're a little off saying Blais should protest Schmitt reffing the Sioux games. Mike Schmitt is possibly one of the best referees in the nation. Yeah the playing without a helmet was probably a marginal call at that point in the game. But you need to realize that Palmo did trip up the CC player after his helmet came off rather than 1) attempting to get off the ice or 2) get his helmet back on.

I thought he was going to take them both, which probably should have happened. The fact remains Palmo did participate in the play without his helmet and we should all breathe a sigh of relief everytime we see Mr. Schmitt ref our games. That was really the only questionable call I saw all weekend, other than the linesman missing a few offsides and calling a hand pass when Schmitt waved it off.

  10. Does anyone know how CC will be affected by the two players they will be missing for this weekend's series? Defenseman Mark Stuart and Forward Brett Sterling are both playing in Novia Scotia at the World Juniors. Was kind of surprised not to see Senja's name on the roster.

Anyone see the game recap on usahockey.com? Total attendence for the game was just over 2,000 people. Pretty weak for Canada I think.

  11. Clayton,

I usually don't post much on this site but I had to respond to your last posting.

AMEN BROTHER!!! You have just summed up the entire role the "activists" have played in this fiasco. Some day they will go away and leave this issue alone. I could not agree with you more. At what point to they stop with these name changes? Do we need to rename the Mississippii River? How about the town of Minneapolis? Or Seattle for that matter? They just won't quit.

    Well said Clayton. Well said.

  12. Good point about the crowd. That was probably the lamest crowd in the history of... well, crowds I guess. I said to my wife at least 6 times how much the crowd sucked. All I hear is people around me talking about stuff not related to hockey. Something needs to done to get the crowd into the game. As much as I hate to say it, I'll take a game in the CRAZY National Hockey Center over the REA any day. 6,000 + jam packed hockey nuts going absolutely crazy... Can't beat it.

As best I could tell, Massen was playing with Notermann and Lundbhom. Looked like he switched up the lines during the game though.
