  1. Names and causes please, as I provided in UND's case. Thank you. And please remember to stay this side of Jan 1, 2005, in your data.

    I'm waiting.

Something tells me you will still be waiting this time next season with this guy......

he is like a kid that knows he doesnt have a pot to piss in but will continue to try and make you see it his way!! The only true dirty play that i recall seeing in that game was Zajac testing the strength of his hockey stick on the back of Roe's legs.

  2. Gotta go out of town, so I'm selling my (4) season tickets for each night. Sec. 306 Row G. (The end the Sioux shoot at twice.)

$130.00 per night (for all 4)....or....$75 per pair

    e-mail shawn123@gra.midco.net

i sent you a email. but incase you didnt recieve it, do you still have these, i would be interested in 2 for friday night.

  3. I don't need to argue. :)

If people didn't make snippy comments about me I wouldn't have any snippy comments to respond to. Don't blame me for retaliating, blame others for instigating.

This kind of contradicts your earlier statement about 30 year old men acting like teenagers doesnt it? Thats the way my teenagers act.....snippy....IMHO anyway. ;)

  4. You know I think you are right, I was thinking about this, some of us live in Grand Forks, we know people that know people that talk to the people that know the people we are talking about. I think that would put us more in the know that some random person in Chicago or St Louis. Actually a few of the people that were talking about information last summer turned out to be more accurate than the pundents.

I know what you mean. I talked to a guy last night who talked to a guy who seen a guy talking to Duncan and Fabian. They say Toews is 50/50 on staying here.

BTW, who isn't better than the Vikings.

  5. The last paragraph sums up a Hardcore Sioux fan:

It's 40 years from now, and most of the coaches we know and love have passed on to their Better Reward.... Red Berenson, Dave Hakstol, George Gwozdecky, Jerry York, Mike Eaves, etc.

Today, Don Lucia arrives in Heaven. God takes Don on a little tour of the place. They jump in a beautiful gold Cadillac, with God at the wheel, and cruise through a neighborhood of attractive homes bordering a golf course.

"There's Red Berenson's house," says God, as he points to a beautiful 10-room home painted maize and blue, with Michigan flags fluttering in a row down the long, luxurious drive. "Wow, that's nice," says Don. "And look over there: that's Mike Eave's place." God nods towards a beautiful red and white 10-room home with a gorgeous lawn and Wisconsin flags festooning a long beautiful drive. "Very tasteful," says Don.

One by one, God points out similar homes belonging to coaches, all in beautiful settings. They finally arrive at Don's house, which is also a beautiful 10-room house, maroon with gold trim, with Gopher flags lining the drive, just as beautiful as the rest. "Gee, it's gorgeous," Don says.

They get out of the car, walk up the steps, and Don oohs and ahs over the house. But as he stands on the steps admiring the lawn, for the first time he notices the mansion across the street. It's huge and luxurious--at least 50 rooms, and is painted in the most beautiful Green and White color Don has ever seen, the lawn is so beautifully landscaped it nearly takes his breath away. But what really catches his eye is the larger-than-life-size bronze Sioux statue on a 6-foot tall granite pedestal, and a huge line of UND flags lining the longest drive that they've seen all day, and it's paved with pure gold bricks.

"Hey, God?" Don asks tentatively. "I don't mean to seem ungrateful, but why do Red, Mike and I get 10-room houses, but Dave Hakstol gets such a huge gorgeous mansion?"

"Don," says God, "that's not Dave's house: that's MY house."

  6. I regret to inform all involved in this endeavour that I am not going to be able to participate in the festivities. I have started a new job and cannot afford the price at this time.

  7. Yes, but we were replacing those guys with top end talent. This year's recruiting class does not have that star power. Some of the guys may develop into good college players, but I don't think any of the incoming freshman are going to put up huge numbers as a freshman. There is no one on the roster that can fill the shoes of Toews. If he leaves the only dominant forward we have is Oshie. Compare that to last year's team and the depth is just not there.

That is true. I guess we can always hope for another Oshie in the ruff. I am still hoping for and believe we have a good chance at the Frozen Four. even though at this point I will be happy just to see them make the NCAA Regionals. Atleast most of the defense is still intact and another year older.

  8. I would say there is little chance Toews is back next year. That loss would really put a rubber stamp on a very long offseason. If we lose Toews in my opinion we are in for a very mediocre year. The coaches are really going to have their work cut out for them.

I agree to a point. I thought the same thing last year and the year before, look where we ended up. Two years we lost Bochenski and ZPar, last year was all the Senior defenseman, this year we all know about. But I think I will stick with what works, the team is going to be mediocre again for a third year in a row. Here is looking to the Frozen Four, for a third time in a row.

  9. Hey if they leave good for them. I still think Jpar is not ready for the NHL.

That's why you aren't a scout for the NHL. Do you honestly think New Jersey would sign him if he wasn't ready? He is just as ready as any other college player leaving early. Next!!!!

  10. Just heard Jordan signed with the Devils last night. I am still looking for the link. I haven't seen anything on the Devils website yet. If anyone else finds a link please post.

  11. We only have to pay for the suite ticket.

If that is the case I have a couple of maybe's that could turn into yes's depending on the dates. Military guys so that is why the dates matter.

  12. Would you guys let me join in on this? As i've stated before I'm a hockey fan first and then a gopher fan. I went to the same High School Lee Marvin and TJ Oshie did, so i will have some Sioux connections. You don't have to worry about me sioux bashing all night, i'm not about that.

We aren't worried about that, its a long fall from the suites to the ice. After all, no one said we couldn't throw live gophers on the ice.

  13. p.s. do you think he will be getting more ice time this post-season, considering how he played? i looked for him last night, but i didnt see him. do u know if he played? was i just blind to not see him? congrats to the Oilers btw

I don't know that they wish that. You have to keep in mind that was only like his 2nd or 3rd game in the last 2 months or so. Yes I know he took those penalties. But I think from the games I have been watching, Spacek is just as big of a risk. Giving the puck up in his own zone. The third goal last night was totally his fault. I think we will see him for atleast one game in the next round. Just my opinion.

  14. All the laughter will soon turn to tears when Drew and Jpar are gone.

Sad as it will be, I will cry no more for him than I did when Greene left. Though we will miss him being on the ice just like we did Greene. Like you have said it is going to happen, it is just a matter of when. So, I will cover my tears with laughter.
