If Kaip can get PP time, anything's possible. It's not like we're super deep right now...

Thats UND's style though.. f' with the goalies! Look at the past. Brandt has some of the best career numbers, and he didn't even play half the time he was there.... imagine if he played the whole time for 4 years!

If i recall, Smaby was the exact same way?!?!... he turned out alright.. Mr. Finely will follow the same mold. Time can do wonderful thing.

Its closing in on the start of another season of Sioux Volleyball. After last years performance I would have to think anything more than 12 wins would have to be a fairly succesful season. However my prediction is for a grand total of 9 vicotries. What are everyone else's preditions and thoughts on the upcoming season?

As for the Koenig transfer. That was a HUGE pick-up for Zigs, considering in his two years he was such a vital part of the team.
What does anyone know about the new recruits coming in? Looks like he picked up a few ju-co transfers. Does anyone know if they are the "real deals?"
Zigs does do a fairly good job at recruiting, but how come he does such a terrible job of advertising his players for a possible baseball future after college?

Getting away from the size of the media/city aspect. Is "the new ralph," hockey atmosphere, really anything to brag about?? When I go to the games, there doesn't seem to be nearly the atmosphere there used to be at UND hockey games.

Well the Sioux open up there first home games of the season this weekend? Are many people going out to support the team? What are you people's predictions and thoughts on this years team so far? From the looks of it Tyler Frenzel is having an out standing year.
Has anyone seen them play yet this year?

I would think that for a night's stay in jail he must have done something good.

Considering the team needs a spark, why wouldn't you give the most lively kid on a team a chance to ignite the rest of the team?
The goalies that have been playing sure haven't won any games for the sioux lately. Why not let Brandt see if he's still got it. Maybe he can steal a couple wins for the team.
This team needs to be woken up, a DRASTIC change like letting Brandt play could get the rest of the team going.

Thats the biggest mistake that kid has ever made. To come play here. Maybe if he had some help on the team. But from the looks of it, there isnt' much...maybe Zajac. Tri-City would have done alot more for him that GF could ever do.

If he was voted captain on my team. This wouldn't change a thing. He's not the first person thats done this, and he sure won't be the last.
Schneider and Greene... Looks like the captain's are in charge of gettin' the boys home.

Too bad they like to dump and chase so much. The way those dirty russian's played was something beautiful to watch.
What does everyone think about how UND comes up the ice on the PP, four guys in an even line? I think its rediculous. Its either that, or they just aren't that good at it yet. About the only option they have is to dump it in when they get to the blue line because someone is always going to be offsides.

I agree, UND needs to play some games in old REA cause this new place sucks. Its not even a hockey game there. I've never seen a more boring crowd.

Couldn't agree more!! Smaby gets burnt sevral times everygame, he doesn't move his feet. I don't care how "highly" recruited he was, Smaby should have splinters in his a$$!

I tend to dissagree. Sports is alot of politics. Hak has to keep the boys from the cult coming...Keep Daddy happy.
However, #2 or #3 shouldn't really matter. I think we would all agree Phil is playing like the starting goalie right now. So why would you ever play anyone but him?? Until he has a bad game or two. Keep Parise on the bench right along with Brandt for the time being.

Roseau is a small town. I'm sure news travels pretty fast. Trust me, if he could have told coach first he would have. And IF he would have talked to coach first, i'm almost certain that none of us would have even known it had happend.
In no way am i justifying what he did. As you know, there's usually more than one side to a story, and around here often times people don't even here the story at all. You should maybe know the guy before you rip him.
