  1. GVSU has jumped to #1 in the region followed by the MAVs of UNO. UND drops to 3rd, followed by SVSU, SCSU and Northwood. The good news for Northwood is there is currently no team in an "earned access" spot. C. Washington jumps to 7th, followed by UMD and USD. Ashland keeps there slim hopes alive. Winona St beat a poor Wayne St (Neb) team and dropped to 11th. CSP jumps to 12th and plays 11th Winona St this week for a possible spot in the 1 top 10 and an earned access spot.

    Things will get interesting.

    BTW: Why did UNO jump over UND in the rankings? Two reasons, head to head win over UND at UND and SOS. UNO is 7-2 with wins over SCSU, UNO, UCW, and SCSU. The win over NWMSU also could help if they win this weekend. That would mean they would have 5 wins over teams with a 0.700 winning percentage or better. That is big bonus points in the computer program the NCAA has come up with.

    Also, In my computer model, UNO is ahead of GVSU despite the 2 losses to GVSU's none.

    The reason, The GLIAC's bottom sucks this season. They have beat each other up so bad that it's hurting the top teams. The schedule doesn't help either. With Ashland not playing SVSU or NU it really hurts both Northwood and Ashland.

  5. Has anyone seen Ferris States remaining schedule.....OUCH!!! They are done winning any more games no matter who their QB is!!! If they get lucky they may have a chance at Northern Mich. but I seriously doubt it.... Sioux 63 Bulldogs 3...The offense will make a statement and the defense..well it will just keep on doing what it does best!!!

    Northern won't be a problem as we seem to beat them every year. In fact they have won only twice since 1991. Throw in an upset or two in the last 3 games and Ferris finishes at 6-5 :silly::D:huh:

Only way Ferris beats UND. 7/8ths of the Sioux get food poisoning, and at game time, they're all trying to figure out which end they want towards the toilet, and Digger Anderson is kept away because he's really a crimefighting superhero who does football as a hobby. He just happens to stumble into a really nasty trap and he's held up for a couple of hours. :silly:

    Well if that is the case GVSU has not that much more of a chance since they are barely beating GLIAC doormats and have not really played anyone yet.
  7. Latest Massey poll has us at #59 and not looking to good as far as our chances of winning. But we will give it a shot. You will have your hands full though with the top 3 teams in the GLIAC come playoffs.

    Looks like Kaul since he started last game and wasn't injured. Didn't realize that Indians still ate dog food though? With all them casinos you would think they could afford steak now.
  10. Yeah, this VanWeiren guy is awesome.  Put up big numbers against Mercy-worst.  Check out one week prior against the mighty Greyhounds of UINDY.

    13-for-30, 2 INT and 89 yards in a 7-3 loss at home.  Phenomenal.

    Hee hee ho....  That was good for a laugh, the thought of Ferris actually beating UND.  From my persective, I would love it to happen for Playoff pairings only, but I just don't see it happening.  However, I for one would gladly eat crow if the Bulldogs pull of the Miricle of beating the Sioux.  :)  :huh:

    Give me a break. GV barely squeaked by Ashland 14-10 and Ashland squeked by Ferris. 24-21. If we can't beat UND then GV better worry a lot if they make it to the PO. And as I recall you didn;t fare much better against Indy who also barely beat us 10-7. Our record is decieving. Just keep talking your dung.

  12. C J VanWieren... the guy is unstoppable. A 2cnd year sophomore who has grabbed the reins of the Ferris offense. Check out his stats in his first start last week. 413 yards of passing and rushing by him. Unbelievable. You will get to see him in a couple of weeks. Good luck.

    Are you kidding me, 61-10 over Gannon. It might be time to go I-AA already. Half your starters began their careers at I-A schools for God's sake. There are no more challenges at the II level. You might lose once a year, but then it is a long playoff run. Can anyone beat this team? Only if they beat themselves with costly turnovers.

  15. You guys were real lucky that these three were out injured in the GVSU game from week before as was GVSU.
