  2. I am not knocking Digger as a player, he is exceptional, but it some credit has to be given to his defensive line as well as the scheme he plays in. In UND's defense, the d-line is responsible for taking 2 men and leaving the linebackers unblocked. I feel that without the support of guys like Shane D. and a defensive scheme that sends people from everywhere, that Digger would still be a great player but the stats would be on the same level as any good linebacker in the NCC.

  3. Pitt State is in the December 6th issue of ESPN magazine (pg. 120). They claim "they are the most unstoppable offense in college football. They have outscored opponents 60-16 averaging over 637 yards per game. The offensive line averages over 314 lbs."

They sound pretty impressive. Has anyone gotten a chance to see them play or is it because the MIAA is terrible (not including NW Missouri)? I hope the Sioux can pull it off this week.

  4. I hear stories that the UND student section may be moved. Is that true?? I think that is bull. Even if the students are a little rowdy at times and tend to say things that are a little over the edge, is that not home field advantage??

  5. I think we need to quite worrying about d-back and focus on the offensive line. Here is the depth chart.

    left tackle-Smith, Bauer

    left guard-Braegelmann, Soll

    center-Hendrickson, Storhaug

    right guard-Kuper, Doescher

    right tackle-Hoffelt, Bronson

The only experience is Smith and Kuper. Kuper may be a pre-season all-american but pre-season doesn't mean anything. The young guys may be able to get by on size and speed against some of the weaker opponents (Mankato) but they will need some experience to anchor them against tough teams like Omaha and from what I hear Smith is a soft spoken guy. Are the young guys, Braegelmann and Hoffelt, really ready to assume the starting roll?? Then what if there is an injury, the depth chart is not exactly deep.
