This is out of control, a crock. I will make sure my boys send a meessage to them on saturday. It will not be pretty, they better watch out.
-
I wish I could jump on the Minot bandwagon, but they've broken my heart too many times.

Central 4 North 2
South 8 Shanely 1
-
Here's how I believe it will go:
Quarters:
South over Shanley
Central over North
Red River over West Fargo
GPR over Jamestown
Consolation Semi's:
North over Shanley
Jamestown over West Fargo
Championship Sem's
South over Central
Red River over GPR
Qualifying games:
Central over Jamestown
GPR over Fargo North
Championship game:
South over Red River
Which gives us:
1. South
2. Red River
3. Grafton
4. Central
It would be cool to see an upset or two though...

Wilbur,
What is your prediction for the west region. Obviously Minot is in but after that everything is up in the air, what do you think will happen.

Red River looks good heading into EDC tourny with a huge 4-1 win over Grafton.

Okay, so my comments on my last post may have been a little exaggerated, but there is some truth behind all my madness. South is an okay team. i still think that Red River has their best games ahead of them, along with central. The west fargo game is a perfect example of the suspect play by fargo south. a state champion team would not let a lesser team hang around and play with them. yes, they had alot of shots, but shots don't count on the scoreboard. South may go into EDC playoffs ranked 1st, but they won't come out that way. I will not be surprised at all if there are 2 or 3 upsets. it will be an interesting last couple weeks

One thing that you cannot control is how well the opposing goalie plays in a game. When he plays the best game of his life you have to give him the credit that he deserves. I believe that the west fargo goalie just came up huge in a totally lopsided game and kept his team in it.

We have heard opinions about who the best players are in the state but are their any opinions on the most under rated players in the East Region?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I saw Grant larson from south play in a couple of games, and he can really put the puck in the net, I think he is a solid player. I also see Nick Klenow from fargo north putting up some good numbers. I believe that Garrison from central is a great team player and works very hard, and doesnt get enough credit.

Was Alex Sumner out at all from that hit he suffered from Vigen in that RR game?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
No he played against Jamestown

I'm really anxious to see the outcome of the Central-South game tomorrow night. Central has improved a ton this season, and I think they could possibly knock off the Bruins if they play well. I still think South will win the game, but it should be a good one.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I belive that Central is one of the hottest teams in the state right now with Garrison back in the line up. South will be looking to wrap up the EDC title for good tomorrow. Because of this I agree with you that both teams will come to play tomorrow making a great game to watch.

Like I said earlier i think Jamestown can surprise some people. Once again they lose in a very close game to Central(3-2). If they can find a way to come away with those games I think they maybe can go places. Don't get me wrong I know they are not the best team but I would not take them lightly.

I was at the WF/South game. South had quite a big more shots but the majority of them were not quality. WF did a good job of keeping them in the perimeter especially Wiesgarbers line. Hearing the Minot game didnt surprise me considering Grafton likes to dangle and if you hit them it makes them easier to beat and they were missing one of their top scores to due injury. It will be interesting to see who makes it for the East and if Minot does well at state.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Who was out for Grafton.

Central looks very good in a huge victory against Fargo North. I think they are going to be the real deal come tourny time.

As much as it hurts to say, (being a GF native) I think that Fargo South is the strongest team in East hands down. Not to say Red River can't still knock them off. I just think that South is really on roll now with that 7 game winning streak. Maybe Big Dean finally found that groove he's been yappin about in the media.
However, I did witness a fairly poor showing on South's behalf against Jamestown last night. (South won 6-3) It appears that Jamestown found a pretty significant weakness in South. All they had to do was throw the puck out to center ice and catch south's Defense snoozing on the blue. Smart strategy for a team like Jamestown. Props to them for hangin with em!
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
It would not surprise me at all if Jamestown makes it to state this year and does some damage there. They have some skilled players, but they stay with teams and keep games close because of their entire teams great work ethic.

Warroad 6 Central 0

Actually, GPR is RR's last game of the season, they play 2/12/05 at Purpur.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
That will be a huge game for both teams if they want to finish second in the EDC.

I wish otherwise, but I don't see UND doing better than a split this weekend. If Murray continues to be sidelined, along with Kaip and McMahon out, we'll be lucky to escape with 2 pts, IMO.
The really disturbing thing for me was seeing how flat UND came out vs. BSU last Friday. They reminded me of team USA, when they got hammered by Belarus in the WJC's. It wasn't a lack of effort once the game started, it was a lack of mental preparation.
Having suffered three straight losses, I expected more from the Sioux. The competition has been good, but in the last 2 series UND is 1-2-1. Denver will be another good team that will cause problems for the boys.
Split this week, and about .500 the rest of the season. Teams don't change much after January. Here's hoping I'm wrong.
Go Sioux.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
What happened to Murray, he has'nt been playing, I have not heard why.

Does anyone know when and where Red River and Grafton play eachother.
-
I think it will go:
1.Fargo south
2. GF Red River
3. GPR
4.Central
5.North
6. Jamestown
7.West Fargo
8. Shanely
9. Whapeton
Does any one know how the EDC tourny works this year, I heard they changed it so the 4th place team makes it in insted of the 5th team.

First off, I wonder why there is not a link on this web site showing pictures of him at the Gay Pride Convention. Its one thing to make your own web page but it is another to have the background music be "I just died in your arms tonight", really tells me something about your toughness. Go ahead and score all the goals you want and we will see what it does for you at the state tourney, If you make it. Now, if anyone else thinks this is not the gayest website they have ever seen, your probably right along with him. This kid is about as straight as a circle . This is the most insanely idiotic thing i have ever looked at, we are all now dumber for having looked at it, I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Jeez, Take it easy.

This is your first post and hopefully your last. Get off this site you obiviously have no clue what you are talking about!

My thoughts on the Central- RR game. Once agian penalties cost Red River. I thought Centrals powerplay looked real good capitalizing on a couple powerplays. I think the only way Central can contend for a title (edc or state) will depend on their goalie, if he is on, the team is on. I think if RR can eliminate their stupid penalties they will be a very dangerous team and will be hard to beat.
Anybody have any info on the South-GPR game.

Red River wins by six, in a game of total domination. North will have a very hard time against the physical players of the riders.
