Hammy has reported that Travid Boyd from Hopkins committed to the Gophers, who visited UND last week. This sucks, but I guess you can't get them all.
Great....another top end recruit that will not play in the NCAA's as long as Lucia is in Minneapolis.

Seth Ambroz is god.
Ambroz is the best NHL prospect to come out of Minnesota for some time, but I think he will be playing in the WHL long before he graduates high school.

Hensick has the Hobey locked up as of right now.

Where realistically speaking, Robbie won't win the Hobey, here's the award criteria:
Hobey Baker Memorial Award Criteria
1. Candidates must exhibit strength of character both on and off the ice.
2. Candidates must contribute to the integrity of the team and display outstanding skills in all phases of the game.
3. Consideration should be given to scholastic achievement and sportmanship.
4. Candidates must comply with all NCAA rules: be full time students in an accredited NCAA college or university; and complete 50% or more of the season.
I highly doubt any current college hockey player has displayed his strength of character on and off the ice better than Robbie Bina in the past 2 years.

The Sioux have arguably the 2 best forwards in college hockey (Hensick and Okposo aern't bad either), along with some extrememly talented young defensemen. Goaltending is always going to be streaky at some point during the season for every team. Anyone out there convinced that the Sioux will not make the Final 5 and the national tourney, I will bet any amount of money you want.

Just remember that UAA sucked last season. You might find out differently when Minnesota plays them this season.
You're right, with that huge recruiting class UAA has this year I'm sure they are 10x better then last year.

In the U18 tournament, Czech Republic, USA and Canada will play for Gold on Saturday as both teams swept their respective pools 3-0. Unfortunately Belfour has been his teams backup.
That's going to be one interesting game with 3 teams playing at the same time.

kessel scores 2 goals for team blue in 4-2 win over finland.
team white shuts out sweden 3-0....no stats available yet
jack johnson, erik johnson, lee and chorney are locks so that leaves 3 d spots open, wonder if zach "dont f with me" jones has a shot...a lot of talent there

Everyone knows that Oshie stole a Kessel jersey before the game and scored those 2 goals. At that same time Kessel was at Blarney's (not back checking) while the USA coaches tried to figure out how to make T.J. eligible for the upcoming tourney and find an excuse for leaving Phil off the team.

Now I know why Kessel won the the WCHA ROY. According to TSN Kessel puked less than Toews this year and a little less than Oshie last year.

I've heard that asking a coke addict to quit snorting is the same as asking a sober person to quit breathing. Still, after he has presumably lost everything (job, money, family, self respect, etc.) how do you not check yourself into rehab?
