I wouldn't bet on it, but I wonder if the powers at be are taking a look at a switch? I don't know what kind of penalties there'd be, or how the contract was written with the Orleans arena, but I'd be disappointed if they weren't at least looking into it. The way I look at it, this is still 20 months away, reassigning tickets would be a hassle, but could easily be done for everyone currently with a ticket.

They sold 8,000 tickets before it was even on sale to the general public. The potential buyers are any Non-Champions Club UND fan as well as the entire Gopher fan base. Without a doubt you have 5,000 easily in that group ($500,000), but each 1,000 added to that list is an extra $100,000 of pure profit.

They have time to fix this, I hope they can.

Edit: The more I think about this, the more I think that they have to be looking into it. There's no reason not to. We aren't talking about potential revenue anymore. Them not knowing if 8,000 would show up (Orleans Arena perfect fit) or 9,000 total (where the extra costs wouldn't make the T-Mobile arena a good fit). This is as close to a guarantee as you can get that like I put above, you'd get an extra 4 or 5K people. Probably more than that, but there's no risk in the under to that.

I don't think they'll switch arenas for this game because there would probably be a penalty with the orleans if they did. But with all the tickets sold with very little if any going to the goofs or the general public and the demand maybe playing another game at T mobile arena that weekend is a possibility. They have 20 months

The University of Think Small strikes again. I just don't understand how they didn't foresee this. Someone said it earlier and they are right, this would have been the most demand for tickets in the University history. Let's play it at a 7,700 seat Orleans Arena...what a joke.

They already have 7700 people going there, they'd be stupid not to at least look into a second game at the NHL arena
