Just curious as to how this works. I see a couple kids from Shattuck, but otherwise no Minnesota kids that I noticed. Is this intentional? If so, I would assume the Shattuck kids are NOT from Minnesota. Looks like they are mostly kids that are playing "AAA".

You're right. I read it wrong. Either way, he sounds like the type of player that Minnesota needs.

Opposing teams' players, coaches, and fans throw fits with one Hextall, I can't imagine how they would cope with two Hextalls.

i think he said und and umd which could be places HE may want play from what i read into it but who knows, maybe und and umd were in is final 3 when making his 1st decision

the gophs seem to be overloaded at forward for next year with a possibility of 18 or 19 forwards before this so something had to happen. seems strange as he as hes had a solid couple of seasons in the ushl

Minnesota has Advance 15 tryouts going on now. The 95 born age group in Minnesota is very, very Strong. May 1st and 2nd 12 teams (240 kids) will play in a tourney at New Hope and from there they pick the best 104 to participate in the Minnesota Advance 15 festival. From that festival they pick the top 24 to goto the USA Festivl in Rochster NY. Apple Valley Star Hudson Faushing maybe the best 95 born player in the Country and Taylor Cammarata who plays at Shattuck and is from the cites is up in that category too.

I based it off assumption.

I don't know where he'd end up.

He said he wants to stay in the WCHA and mentioned UND and UMD. I personally believe (to no fault of his) that, of the two schools he mentioned, UMD is the better chance.

I am not saying UMD will want him.

I don't know where he'd end up. He could end up at Quinnipiac since they have taken players that haven't had much luck at other schools (like Siembida).

I'd like all the Midwest and Western talent to end up in the WCHA. Heck, I'd like all of the talent to play in the WCHA, as unrealistic as that is.

I'd also like Walters to play where he'd like to play, so I used UMD.

I mentioned UNO, BSU, and MSUM because of the fact that they are WCHA members and I want them to be competitive. MSUM just lost Pitlick and Walters could be a substitute for him (even though he may not be quite the talent Pitlick was).

yeah, i guess i didn't read anything in the article that set off any red flags other than he did everything he was asked and was then asked to hold off even though he was promised a 2010 spot. if lucia has overrecruited, then this is a possible consequence. i don't see this decommitment as him being a bad egg, hope he finds a spot somewhere he can play. we've got similar issues at defense this season, so we could be experiencing a similar situation.

Sounds like a nice player, but is that risk worth it? If that was actually said, then he has quite the nerve, considering his own offspring.

Blais was the first WCHA coach to call him. Many others have called him since. I think you might be on to something in regards to Mankato, they might be the only WCHA team with a full scholarship to offer for next season.

Leivermann stayed down and eventually was taken off the ice on a stretcher. He was taken by ambulance to Creighton Medical Center, and his parents were in the ambulance with him.
