Disappointing result. Still trying to fathom how the officials saw Adams goal as no goal. Guys played pretty well for the most part. Created a lot of quality chances and should've finished a few more. Goaltending has to be better whether it is Scheel or Thome. It wasn't just the weak goals tonight it was the shakiness pretty much everytime they saw the puck. Nothing seemed clean and confident back there. Bad angles and bad rebounds from both guys all night.

I'd say you have to go with Thome.
Scheel has been consistent at letting in multiple goals the last few games before the game is even a couple minutes old.
Can't start every game in a 1-2 goal deficit.

Final SOG tonight were 42-17...shouldn't have ever even come down to that blown call at the end.

Thome earned a start

If we hear anything it’s going to “be that’s not what we saw”

I'm talking about the official rule on high sticking goals. Does it just have to hit the opposing player or does the player need possession to negate it.

5 keys to winning tomorrow.....

1) don't give up a goal a minute in.... definitely not 2

2) have a save percentage higher than my SAT score

3) pass the puck to the same color jersey below the redline in the D zone

4) catch the puck and throw it into the net as to not leave any interpretation of a "high stick"

5) make sure Weatherby isn't on the ice to take a penalty in the 3rd

Thome should have started last weekend. The Sioux need to step up. I expect them to destroy Miami tomorrow. Calling it 6-2.

He needs some good mojo.  He needs some seriously head-bendingly positive starts.  Too bad he can't play a couple games for the Force while Thome starts.

Hey, we got off to a truly crappy start.  AGAIN! That crap has got to STOP!

We did rally, and the rally was real.

we just gotta come out firing on all cylinders and not give up really stupid penalties throughout the game.

That should be easy, right?

Huh?  Thought it was three shooters minimum?

Went to a “sudden death” shootout when they added 3v3 so no more minimum.

To be fair the team 2 years prior would have lost this game 5-2. Salvaged a tie and 2 conference points.

weatherby is fine.  That penalty was coincidental hard work.  I don't bench a guy for that.  Lots of sloppy play all around, and you can't spot a team 2 goals and expect to win.

Opposing team has to possess the puck after a high stick to negate high stick.

Can't take a lazy stick penalty in the O zone in the final minutes to lead to a tying PP goal then turn around and get a goalie interference penalty in OT.

I was working when this happened, so I don't really know the specifics. Was the puck played with a high stick? I thought that was the rule.

My point is, don't give up an offensive zone penalty at the end of the game (unless you are behind).

I'm thinking about the goalie interference...my cable in CA was all pixelated, so i didn't see the other penalty in the 3rd...

Berry postgame:

-Bad start

-Larkin was good

-Thome battled, did a good job.

-Cole Smith battled.  Did a good job.

-Team said the right things post game about being better.

They didn't talk about the play.

The refs got the no goal call right. Puck hits adams stick, hits adams on the shoulder, deflects off the Miami player (not possession and control which is needed), and enter the goal. No goal is the correct call.

I am not sure which is more stressful:

Getting off to a two goal deficit only to come back and battle to a tie.

Or

Getting off to a two goal lead, only to go into a prevent defense and piss it away to a tie.
