Faison is 67, and more likely stayed on for a couple years as a favor to help Kennedy. Think Morton needed more time at Michigan St before he moves over. They are still running around thinking Hogan Assessments will be used to can people. Good grief. It's a tool that a new AD can use to get grounded with each coaches areas of strengths and weaknesses. darell1976 Posted October 17, 2017 Share Posted October 17, 2017 I think from what the university has gone through from nickname changes, to conference moves, budget problems (thanks Bismarck), cutting sports, in the end I think Faison did the best job he could while dealt with an unfriendly hand. He got us into leagues that helps with travel, helped with funding for an IPF. I think this school is going to come out ahead in the long run. If he has a weakness it's that he's not great at kissing hands and shaking babies; he's not the gladhander the %gobc and others 'need'. He didnt know their names or accomplishments. Academic or athletic. That doesn’t go unnoticed by those kids. Faison was unapproachable and took no initiative toward his athletes, alums, and fans alike. He showed no fire and enthusiasm towards his university. Brian was a non-factor in fundraising. In fact he was a detriment. Did he help grow the fan base with his outgoing personality? Engaging fans at games, meeting the average joe knowing there’s a bigger picture? Fostering those relationships that grow into bigger and better things? He did none of that and to argue otherwise is pure ignorance. I can't say I disagree with any of this. UND athletics (namely football and basketball) can potentially get way better pending the new hire. No arrows shot, kinda like at a funeral, only nice things said.
