Yes, it is pretty much the same. UND has moved on and so has the Gophers. They are now just another non-conference opponent that we need to beat to keep our ranking in the pairwise. This was proven pr

As will I. For anyone to say this still isn't our biggest rival is delusional.

Can always rely on UMC to give you some good content. I remember when this happened and how mad some older alumni in Crookston where but it kind of fit the Golden Eagles football team.

sadly they won their game on that poorly drawn field

Hot place in early 70s.  Wasn't there a place in EGF at around that time called the Riverbend which often had two bands playing?

Late 70's also. Riverbend was a great spot - some of the best food around, especially a nice dinner. Had the 9 hole golf course. When it closed down the owners opened Griggs Landing downtown I believe. Use to watch the Lamont Cranston band there on occasion.

Can the students reach the top of the glass or is it higher now?

Remember making toy people in grade school that had fasteners like envelope pins pins.jpg.ed90bfe020f088bdc16788b9208c7932.jpg for the joints.   Picture Casey hanging from the glass struggling to pull himself up....

That would be epic! haha

The game not being on FSN or nationally televised is really getting to Gopher fans.

I may have to do a solo rant via audio, or podcast tonight… Topic… “TV that Minnesota has NO CONTROL over” This i getting ridiculous.

They’re so damn spoiled. Majority of their games are available on national TV. Not many (if any) other teams in college hockey can say that.

This is one of the consequences of the B1G hockey conference. Gone are the days of Minnesota Sports Channel and having every Gopher game on television.

This is seriously bad. One of the best rivalries in the game and it is unavailable to a large number of interested viewers. Inexcusable.

Yep. If there was one series to showcase the sport nationally this obviously is the one. Stupid at so many levels

Jupiter did a podcast on it, telling everyone to stop blaming the B1G and Minnesota and this is UND and Midco doing it. he doesn't blame UND having TV deal he actually agrees with it. After that trash of a game that BTN showed tonight, the B1G should give Midco a bunch of money to broadcast the Midco feed on BTN.

This would have been a great time for CBSSN to show a game with two of the best calling the game. NCHC.tv could end-up making a lot of money off of Gopher fans this weekend too.

I just have to share this article from the Heraldo today. Good stuff.

Quote

Before the era of video replay, Shepherd waved off a North Dakota goal for a high stick on that night. A young UND coach Dean Blais stepped onto the ice and to scream at Shepherd.

Stunned to see a coach on the ice, Shepherd skated over to talk to Blais.

"When you saw the silver tooth, you knew you were in trouble," Shepherd said. "And I saw the silver tooth that night."

Priceless! Man, I miss Blaiser. A living legend if there ever was one!
