You're lucky you can still get WDAZ... I have DirecTV :)

There's a train of thought that eventually there will only be one ABC in the eastern part of the state. It will be in Fargo.

Notice when Phill left they didn't fill his spot.

With the news of the Herald building up for sale will there be a newspaper or news cast from GF?

Sports writers will just drive up fro Fargo. One hour drive.

Who owns the GF Herald? Forum Communications.
Who owns WDAZ-TV? Forum Communications.

I'm guessing they were using 1/3 of the downtown building. The article said 50 employees in a building capable of 150. They don't even print there; that's done in the industrial park west of I-29.

I'm purely guessing now, but I suspect that there's space available in the WDAZ building on South Washington.

Consolidation under a single roof would save Forum Comm overhead costs (pun intended). Plus, the more valuable facility to sell (plus easier to move out of, meaning not having to move broadcast gear) is downtown.

If the Herald is abolished and I am given the option of subscribing to the Fargo Forum, I will tell them to stick their offer......well, you know the rest.

And don't be surprised if UND sports coverage vanishes altogether.

UND hockey drives more than enough page views to sustain coverage.  Arguably, it's the only thing keeping the Herald afloat.

From what I've heard, last spring, they're going to move into the WDAZ building.
