Being top dog only works when you are the top dog.  A mediocre dog is a lonely dog at the next level.

Too bad cause you only get one chance to play college football.  5 years.  To throw one away is tragic.  Especially when it's the last one.

If it was the Reyes we saw last year I’m good thanks. If it’s him from his junior year when he played inspired football then count me in. Too bad.

Yes, he could have returned.  But he was damn near checked out by the time the USD game came around and he played like it.  So, he had an awful final year, poor off season cause he was hurt, then had surgery in February and is now sitting at home.  Poorly handled by everyone involved.

Can’t believe how many people said the same thing.

He’s my secret late round stud in both leagues.

Wonder if he would have stayed if we wouldn’t have been in that long period without a coach. Probably best for him that he did make the leap to NIU.

I started him yesterday and he got me 22 points! Kenny G is going to win me some money!

excuse my naivety, are you touting him for UND OL coach?

No, although I'm sure he'd be great, he's out of UND's price range unless he's feeling charitable.  Just posting an update on a "former player."

Compares Santiago to Darren Sproles.

Good for John. Seems like he was banged up some this past season. Hopefully he’s recovered and is hitting on all cylinders.

Not a former player, but a former finalist for the head coach position at UND.

Deboer is moving up the ranks again becoming the new OC at Big Ten, Indiana.

That could go down as a major facepalm.

Some people love a challenge that also pays well.

Not hiring DeBoer to me is a big part of the reason behind this run of mediocrity.

I agree. Well said.

Not hiring him or him taking that job?
