Best place in Vegas to watch Sunday's games?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

The wife and I are flying to Vegas Sunday morning and looking forward to the games that day (hopefully including the Sioux game).

Can anyone recommend a good sportbook or bar to watch the games at in Vegas? We're staying at Harrah's and I called the sportsbook who confirmed they would have the game(s) on at least 1 TV there.

Thought about going to the Imperial Palace for the game, for the Sioux ties, but maybe someplace else would be better?

Thanks for the help.

GO SIOUX!

ps: Will I be able to bet money on this game there?

New York New York has an ESPN Zone that's a pretty good place to watch games. There's a sports book right next to it also.

you will have a heck of a time at a sportsbook getting the game on with basketball in full force so you may want to try a bit early wherever you go to make sure youn can get a tv with fox north

All of the sportsbooks will put it on for you. You'll only get one TV, but that should be good enough. Now put some $$ down on some games and you can get free drinks while you watch!!

The sportsbooks on the strip will be packed wall to wall with the NCAA hoops games going on, if you want to get away from the circus you might try the Suncoast or one of the Stations.

The Hilton used to be one of the better sportsbooks on the strip but getting a seat is nearly impossible unless you're there at the crack of dawn. I would at least check with the Imp. Palace to see if they still have any kind of Sioux following, might be a good time if they still draw a crowd for Sioux games.

You'll be able to bet on this game.

last time I was in Vegas for a Sioux playoff game I watched it downtown at the Plaza...I think the bar is called the sports dome or something like that...anyways me and my buddy were the only ones in there had the place to ourselves for about half the game...cheep drinks and good food I had the largest meatball sandwhich ever and I think it was like $5-$6 something like that...

And just a block away from the Glitter Gulch.

Or at least that's what I heard.

If I were to go, not that I would, I'd only be spending the Casino's money.

If I were to go, not that I ever would.

Guy could lose an eye.

I'd go to Caesar's or the Wynn. the espnzone at New York New York if you can get a table.

I don't think any of the establishments over the hump in Pahrump will have the game.

I didn't think that was a very nice strip bar, it was kind of run down. ;)

I like the Imperial Palace Sports book. I am sure they will put it on a TV or two for you there.

I think that we're going to have to defer to he experience that Goon has on this subject.

After all I've never even been in one. When I had to walk but I covered my eyes and ran.

I went in there to get a drink of water. :D;) I wasn't there long I just wanted to see what the place looked like.

When they told me what the price of beer was I left.

the suncoast has a pretty nice sports book/bar, but the nice thing about staying there is the golf!

It has a troon course right outside the front driveway and there is a TPC course two blocks away and there is also a lighted course about two blocks away.

It is a pretty quiet hotel, good buffet and bowling alley and multiplex theater right in the casino.

Oh and make sure to visit baby Dolls ;)

Yeah, I kind of figured any sportsbook with 45+ TV's would be able to put it on one of them for us. There will be only 2 NCAA games on Sunday, so it likely will be on the HUGE TV's but not every one in the book.

Looking forward to it for sure!

Any more advice please let me know.

Caesar's Sports book rocks. I've been going there for years.

I was in Vegas during the championship game if the 2005 Frozen Four. It may be different during the regionals, but at that time the Frozen Four was during the Masters. The "friendly" folks at the Imperial Palace told us (understandably) that the money was on the golf and they would show that until it was over. We got a couple of small tv's with no sound until golf was over (2nd period or so). There was a crowd of about 20 Sioux fans there at the time.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but the old/former LV Imperial Palace has been purchased by Caesars and will be undergoing a $200+ million remodel.

I was looking at going to LV again and saw that the IP is now the Quad. I actually stayed at the Imperial Palace back in 1997. Interesting place. The car collection was pretty cool.
