  1. I can't think of a class of seniors I've enjoyed more than this one. Absolutely selfless. From the time I've become a fan, i do believe Pattyn has been the best captain I've seen. Obviously, eye is in the beholder, but the guy showed up every game, led with his vocals in the locker room, and led by example on the ice.

  2. Regular season wins vs. Post season failures. Gino and Blais both won a ton of regular season games, too.

Gino - 392-248 (62%) - and that with his last 3 seasons being terrible.

    Blais - 262-115 (69%)

I would say they won some regular season games. No?

Why were his last three years terrible? On your own accord, we should always have the best recruiting.

  3. Please explain. And make sure to throw in the national championship part of the equation when doing it.

You said every coach has done the exact same thing as far as WINS the last 40 years. That's incorrect. Don't change it after the fact and include the national title.

  4. You know why he doesn't get full and unquestioned credit for his regular season wins vs. post season failures at North Dakota? Because every coach before him did the exact same thing as far as wins go. Its been 40 years since a coach really struggled at UND.

    Wrong.

  5. As a die hard fan I want to win ONE TITLE!!!

How is that throwing the program under the bus?

I know there are plenty of fans who love that the program gets to Final Fours and they accept the lack of titles as the trade off-we can be consistently good, but not great.

    I want both.

If it meant missing 10 Final Fours for 1Title I'd take it.

No you wouldn't. We don't make a Frozen Four for ten years, all these same posters are on here with Fire Hak, he hasn't got us to a Frozen Four in ten years, so what if he won a title eight years ago, what's he done since.

In all honesty, if he didn't win one every other year, it wouldn't be satisfactory for many of you, and that in essence, is why you get "shouted" down.

  6. Maybe you people that have such an issue with the team should stop going, that way I can get tickets easier.

Maybe some of the games in the past were Hak's fault, and he could have done things differently. Maybe 2011 was his fault when they couldn't buy a goal against a team they easily outplayed, hell maybe if he'd have played goalie tonight the soft ones wouldn't have gone in.

I think the adjustments were clear tonight. We were outplayed the first ten minutes. The team controlled the next ten. Our power play has been terrible all season, tonight it looked like one of the best in the country. We controlled the second and third periods. I don't know, but all of that looked a lot like in game coaching adjustments that were made that allowed the team to get back into the game.

  7. Okay, you count the F4s he's been to, compile all of the losing excuses, and let me know what you find.

I'm not talking about the past. I'm talking about the game directly in front of me. You're hatred of Hak is shining through when you're making comparisons that have nothing to do with this game.

  8. Bottomline: This is a one and done tourney where you will face opponents for the first time all year, Hak has no clue how to get a team ready in that situation. 3, 5, or 7 Game series? We would win almost every year.

What exactly are you talking about, this team is ready. This team is controlling play. This team has looked tremendous on the power play. Tell me how Hak screws up our Hobey candidate letting in soft goals? Can't even take your seriously.

  9. And you trust who to be in net against these guys? Morons? Zane is NOT playing well .... how about the offense or the D that should clear the zone?

The only one this applies to is the first power play. Noone is blaming him for that one. Five hole on clean look, that's on Zane. The snipe, Zane should have had. The fourth, I personally think he should have stopped.

  10. Wow, some names I haven't seen on here in the past month. How is this game on Hak? Power play had looked 100x better than it has all season. Outside of their power play goals we've controlled play, plus our Hobey candidate has had a bad night to say the least. You dumb*$$3$ putting this on Hak are ridiculous. Outside the soft goals, this team came to play.

  11. Was at practice at TD Garden today. Mac was on the ice shooting.........in shoes.

Am I the only one that wouldn't want to see him play even if he was cleared today? I think you have to have fully healthy bodies on the ice. No weak spots. Plus, I wouldn't want to test his rust in a one and done format.

  12. Nice cheap shot. It would be good weekend for a number of guys who haven't scored much lately, to put the puck in the net.

Didn't mean it as a cheap shot, was basing my comment off the article that was posted. Noone has been cheering for Murphy to break through more than me, and have even commented before about how hard he worked when he got back into the lineup, including that he was the best player on the ice Frozen Faceoff weekend.
