My buddy in Boise tells me the game is a whiteout and Boise State will be wearing white throwbacks. I really hope we wear black (I hate our green jerseys with the white sleeves).

About a dozen of us will be there in UND green cheering loud!

Update - Apparently the whiteout is just referring to the BSU fans. They are wearing throwback white helmets with blue jerseys and white pants. UND will be wearing white jerseys and white pants. Our fans should wear green!

Normally my favorite uniform is the traditional green jersey with white pants. But I forgot how much I don't like those new green tops with the dumb white on the shoulders.  I think our black jerseys are our best ones now at this point.

Game was far from perfect, but a win is a win.

This flavor of green jerseys with the white shoulders is hideous. Keep wearing the black ones until they get better green ones.

PS - ... it's always the other guy's "Stanley Cup".

I was saying this to my buddy at the game. UND hypes itself up so much and there is so much pomp and circumstance. The other team has nothing to lose and the motivation to shut us fans up must be very high. After the game I said "man, I'd love to have the feeling of beating us at one of these games."

Bally Sports North?  When did THAT happen?

Spring of 2021. They just this month launched a standalone streaming app for $19.99 per month allowing people to get the Wild and Timberwolves (in-market) on streaming. The network has still locked itself out of all of the streaming services (Youtube TV, Hulu Live TV, Fubo, Sling, etc)

Or they are having a harder time staffing what they do have.
Jobs like that are very part time and plenty of people used it for some extra discretionary income. Post-covid, it has become harder and harder to find people to fill the need. It is an unfortunate reality.

Yes -  I'm sure at the Stapleton show if they could have had 2 or 3 staff at each station they would have. Very unfortunate but we're seeing it everywhere now.

  6. I know this has been brought up ad nauseum after many games and concerts, but the beer/concessions line situation at the Alerus is unacceptable. The Chris Stapleton concert seemed particularly egregious, but a well-attended football game is almost as bad. I'm not even sure what the fix is as the concourses quickly become almost impassable due to all the queueing. It didn't help at Stapleton that (apparently at the request of the artist to avoid empty cans being filled with water and thrown...) every can of beer or seltzer had to be poured into a plastic cup and each station was staffed by one employee. I felt bad for those folks as they were clearly doing their best in a tough situation. Anyway...rant over.

Same way to fix the teacher shortage:

-Make it so drivers feel respected and not treated like crap when driving

    -$$$$

Agreed. But it seems like nobody actually wants to pay teachers more.

They aren't the only ones having this issue sadly.....

Many districts can't get bus drivers for daily school routes let alone activities. It's very unfortunate and I don't see what the solution is.

Questioning @MafiaMan on his Jersey IQ/accuracy is a fools game.

To be clear, I wasn't questioning his accuracy. I was just curious as I'm not as familiar with that era of jersey. They look awesome.

I mean, if you are going to use five letter name on a jersey.....

Yeah I like this as an option too. I think they need to move away from the number in the circle on the front and this (or Nodak ) is the way to do it.

Welp, for those who kicked the tires but didn’t actually send me a direct message…

P.S.  You can still send me a message and we’ll chat about these and how you could possibly still get one.

What color green is that on the one on the left? Seems not quite kelly but could just be lighting. Also is there a reason 2 different heads were used? (Just curious)

    Nodak is not our nickname.

I don't understand this. It's a  relatively common nickname for the state of North Dakota (see Nodak Electric or Nodak Mutual Insurance Company)

Related - The University of California, Berkeley Golden Bears are often referred to (including on uniforms) as Cal. Cal isn't their nickname and I also don't think it's an attempt to do an end-around on the Golden Bears. I understand the issues at play here but personally I think it's reading too much into this to assume it's an attempt to get around Fighting Hawks. The logo is on the jerseys just like it is now. However instead of North Dakota it says Nodak (short for North Dakota).

    NoooooOOOOOOOooooooo!

Philly Eagles -- worst helmet in football (other than Michigan/Delaware). Next question.

I want the whole hawk head, beak, eye, and all, on the side of the helmet. Like I said, basically double in size what you'd had before.

I thought of this helmet reading your explanation:Boise State football continues march toward New Year's Six vs. Air Force

Except probably even more oversized logo in our case.

It's been here since June 2016.

A refresh, or another interpretation, would be good. Something that works more than a hockey shoulder patch, FB helmet, or flag, because as was said then, this logo feels more "secondary" than primary. But it works for now given how it came into the world and what it had to work with.

I have no issues with the font and wordmarks.

Let's get the peeking Hawk logo on the front of a jersey ASAP.

First thing I think of is the game late in the season when UND had to kill off a late PP against St. Cloud (it was 5x3 for a full two, IIRC). UND was trying to clinch the season title and maintain #1 PWR. The roof had to be jumping for what felt like five minutes of hockey. It was loud, and every time a UND player blocked another shot the fans found another notch on the volume knob (it went past 11 that night). Didn't Mark Mac take a shot to the lower leg during that kill that ended his season? I seem to recall everyone holding their breath watching him limp around, concerned for Mark of course, but also wishing he could just get the hell off so someone else could jump on.

I was just going to talk about this! Yes Mark Mac got hurt blocking a shot on that 5x3 PK. That place got very very very loud during that.
