  1. UND deserved to be in the playoffs this season. They ended the season on a 3-game winning streak, won 7 DI games, beat a ranked/seeded FCS playoff team on the road, and beat an FBS team. Also, UND played a lot of freshmen and sophomores, unlike NDSU. As a result, UND was a way better football team at the end of the season compared to early in the season when UND played NDSU. If you can't understand basic team progression, then stop commenting on this site; your trolling attempts are too obvious because you can't rationalize anything if it goes against NDSU. UND was a better team on the field and on paper relative to New Hampshire and Eastern Illinois (also, argument could be made against Western Illinois). Point is, UND should've been in the playoffs. If you can't understand that by analyzing the schedules, rosters, circumstances (injuries), and results from today's FCS playoff Round I, then, again, you have no business commenting on this site. You're just piggybacking off of the FCS playoff selection committee's ridiculous decision, and yet, somehow, that makes you feel superior. Good for you, NDSU Class of 2011.

UND is improving year after year under the tutelage of Bubba. I could care less about NDSU right now because I know UND will be better in 2016 than they were in 2015. Soon, very soon, UND will be winning the Big Sky Conference and winning FCS playoff games, regardless of what NDSU does.

Well the selection committee didn't see it that way I guess.

Yes UND  playing well down the stretch. They also didn't play anyone great during that stretch.

  2. .....and NDSU would be a full member of the Big 12 in all sports, not just wrestling. :silly:

You just keep running your big, fat mouth on here. Because when the shoe is on the other foot (and that day is coming), I am going to shove it all back in your face and I will enjoy every second of it. I have had it up to my eyeballs with you and your FBS-wannabe FB team. That will make the role reversal that much sweeter.

GO FIGHTING HAWKS, GO GRIZ AND GO BIG SKY CONFERENCE

Ya maybe NDSU will get beat this year. I don't really care too much. I just watched them complete the greatest run in FCS history. I'll be satisfied for a long time.

I realize you guys can't wait to see it happen. Hopefully you you guys will get to enjoy it as much as your hypothetical playoff run has been this year.

  3. und sells out against the run against everyone, you fricking idiot!!!  Towards the end I the season is when the young secondary was finally gelling!!   No one can run against und.... no one!  Actually there were 4 other teams that did better then ndsu against und.   Ndsu is very average on rush offense.   Hope you enjoyed Carson's time there

I don't really care. The point of the game is to win. NDSU did that. 34-9.-Ass kicking. The position of QB is important to winning games. Maybe UND should recruit and develop one so they can win big games.

Yes I did enjoy his time there. I have also enjoyed watching his freshman backup go 5-0 and put up awesome numbers. NDSU will be spoiled for the next 3 years.

Best of luck to the Fighting Hawks in 2016.

  4. Und  would love a rematch.  Carson was the reason why ndsu won.  Ndsu had by far and away their worst running game.  The "high school"'team had something to do with that.  Ndsu would never hit 150 yards rushing against und......never!

Und belonged in the playoffs and the entire fcs world knows that.... They were screwed without doubt!

If if's and buts were candy and nuts , every day would be Christmas....

Glad to see you are salivating about a rematch with a weakened NDSU team. Nice to see the real competitor in you wouldn't want to prove UND could hang in there with Carson.

UND didn't prove anything. They were a mediocre 7 win team.

  5.

Your right, ndsu rushing offense had 42 car 115 yards 2.7 ave  zero tds.   So yes, statistically you're right, the worst. Even with carson ndsu had there 3rd worst offensive output of the year.  Santiago had 4 carries, ndsu never had the pleasure to witness the best back in fcs.

Meh I don't really care. NDSU kicked UND's ass. UND was selling out the run so NDSU took what the defense gave them.

NDSU proved they were the vastly superior team. UND proved they are not quite plsyiff caliber.

Best of luck in 2016. UND has a cakewalk schedule. 8 wins should be possible.

  6. Btw, ndsu' rushing offense was bad....   Real bad!!   Had it not been for carson, your offense is horrible!  Look at ndsu' stats for that game  and you'll see what I'm saying.   Your defensive line was good but that's it. Wish we could play now without carson, und would be much improved!

UND had 4, yes I repeat , 4 yards of rushing offense ......but you are the one saying NDSU had a horrible rushing offense? LMFAO

UND got smoked. Guess you guys can fantasize all you want about a rematch. It didn't happen because UND was not good enough to make the playoffs.

  7. Yes, WIU looked very competitive in the 52 point loss to NDSU.  So they played a hard schedule, it's not like they were competitive in all those games.

They had more than 61 yards of total offense and 3 first downs against NDSU.

UND was the worst team I have seen NDSU play since they went D1. NDSU's defense is mediocre at best this year and they looked like the freaking '85 Bears against UND.

No real point in debating whether UND should have been a playoff team. They weren't. Move on and good luck next season.

  8. NDSU didn't need to thump their chest about beating a crappy FBS team in order to say "this is why we should be playoff eligible". You can argue that the 2010 team might have got in due to beating Kansas, but they had several wins over ranked teams that year and were never blown out.

UND looked like a high school team against NDSU and Montana. They also played a relatively weak schedule. They were obviously not a slam dunk playoff team. You can say EIU did not deserve it. I'll give you that. With that being said WIU is definitely a better team than UND. They did not have a single cupcake Drake type team , which UND had, in order to get to 7 wins. They had a significantly harder schedule and beat 3 playoff teams.

  9. There are 43 teams in the FCS who have a higher Sagarin rating than Wyoming. There are also only 7 FBS teams rated lower than Wyoming. Keep calling it a quality win all you want, but it wasn't. Wyoming is garbage and would not be a playoff team in the FCS. If you open your eyes and see it how it really is, UND had 1quality win in PSU. They were absolutely blown out by the two other playoff teams they faced, Montana and NDSU, and were beat by two other weak teams. Nothing about that screams playoff team to me.

The FCS playoffs have become too watered down when we have to debate whether a mediocre UND team was playoff worthy. They weren't, and neither was WIU and EIU.  The playoffs should maybe be 16 teams max.

  10. So an FBS win doesn't count as a good win?

Not when it is Wyoming, who might be the worst FBS team in the country. There are probably 40 FCS teams better than them.

Maybe UND should join the MVFC so they can compete with the best every week and have a stronger strength of schedule and opportunity for more quality wins.

  11. #FightingHawksSucks

I can't wait for the next NDSU game..  so we can get a new tradition started:

    NDSU fans:  Fighting Hawks Suck!!

    UND fans reply:  We know

    NDSU fans:  Fighting Hawks Suck!!

    UND fans reply:  We know

wash rinse repeat....  I think I am going to like this new nickname.

No that one died with the Sioux retirement. It's in the past.

I am confident there with be much better chants directed at all you Hawk Suckers.

  12. Its funny that I seem to be the most hated poster on Bisonville who has stated here, not as a troll there, that leaders such as Chapman, Taylor, and Bresciani were two bit liars and deceivers.  (Also put Kelley in that class, but nobody here seems to take offense.)  Seems to hit bison fans too close to the belt.  Haven't stated much about your players except when there is police or attorney action.

But you and numerous other trolls take all offense because there is not anything about morality when it comes to lifting your program.  Morality doesn't matter according to bisonville, but don't get caught.

Mus be doing something right if that moral cesspool Bi'ville takes offense.

You are a good ambasssdor for Sundog Nation. Don't worry about it.

  13. Given the concurrent success in mens bb it doesn't seem "all" their effort went into football.  This ability to walk and chew gum at the same time is something I'm hoping to see out of the UND athletic department.

Actually there are quite a bit of schools that spend the majority of their athletic budget on FCS football.

All of those "big schools" you talk about in D1 hockey, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Minnesota.....hockey is so far an afterthought it isn't even funny. With the exception of maybe Minnesota, hockey at those schools is the third most popular sport on campus and it isn't even close.

  14. "we are gonna put all our effort into making this football program the best FCS football team in whole GD country in the next ten years so help me god" said no AD in the country in the last ten years except the AD at the NDAC

congrats to you...you did but when you got to the top of the mountain there wasnt anyone looking up at you because they were looking down at you from the next mountain over called Mt. FBS.

I guess that's why your fan support at UND sucks and they tolerate mediocrity for a long time.

We all know why you guys talk bad about the FCS. Your football program has been a cellar dweller and you watched your big brother reach the pinnacle of the division 4 times. You hate NDSU's success. Easier to try to tear down something than help bring your own program up . Why do you guys go to the hockey argument all the time ? Same reason.

NDSU's success bothers each and every one of you. It's fine.

Last point . 99.9999% of NDSU realize the FBS is big time. That's fine by us . We actually get to compete for championships at the FCS with similar size institutions. Never heard a UND fan tear down D2 football. You guys were awfully amped in 2001 to win a title.

  15. Well wait a minute,  isn't winning FCS championships the easiest??? Why is it taking several years?

    Seriously tho.

Winning an FCS Championship is easy, yet UND can't even make the FCS playoffs. Makes sense.

  16. I'm not sure where NDSU fans think all this talent is?  Granted, the 2013 NDSU team is easily top 3 if not best of all time in FCS/IAA.  But what is there now?

DL took a big hit from last year.  LB took a huge hit from last year (though the MLB is top-notch; depth is not what it was).  Safeties dropped off huge.  Biggest loss of all, though, was Crockett.

Prior NDSU teams not only had great starters, but the backups would start on most teams.  This NDSU team, built around running and defense, has neither running nor defense and is trying to path it up by having a stud QB (possibly best ever at NDSU), throw to receivers that aren't good for this level (except Sheppard but he's young/slightly injured).

I don't see the "talent," and I'm one of the most objectionable fans you'll find.

Because there have been points during this year where they have played like the best team in the country. I watched that team dominate SDSU.

Just just because you have a talent drop off doesn't mean you still aren't very good. The 2010 team had some great regular season games and some real head scratchers. I kept telling everyone to watch out because they had talent. Had it not been for some horrendous refs, they might have won it all and went on to be the greatest dynasty ever in FCS.

  17. If you ever leave North Dakota you'll be surprised how little people care about FCS football or even know what it is or could name 5 teams playing it

    Have never hosted Gameday

    Unranked

    2 game losing streak

    0 FCS playoff appearances

Smoked by your hated in state rival and held to 61 total yards of offense

    Horrible fan support

    Question....Drop Football?

  19. Like I said if Easton Stick isn't up to par. 3 losses and they are out, 2 losses and they are on the bubble. Rumor is 8-10 weeks for Wentz, that's not good. They have to play at Southern Illinois and at Youngstown St, plus play undefeated (in the conference) WIU, it's a big road ahead without their superstar.

I would be much more worried about UND's playoff situation than NDSU. A 7 win NDSU team will make the playoffs before a 7 win UND team.

  20. Talent must have ran out with a healthy Wentz in Missoula and a hurt Wentz in Fargo. This is not the team from last year. If Easton is not up to par you can cheer for the Bunnies in the playoffs.

Lol a healthy Wentz. The healthy Wentz who had a high ankle sprain and was having trouble walking.

I realize this isn't last year's team. Doesn't mean they don't have the talent to make the playoffs and win it all. Not like UND who actually does not have the talent to win a national championship.

  21. Not enough talent to beat Montana and South Dakota I see. Also I thought the dumbest thing you have seen is your posts on this board. Gives me and others a good laugh.

Oh you are right. NDSU doesn't have the talent to beat Montana and USD. I'm sure that is the issue genius.

Guess they only have the talent to beat #6 ranked SDSU 28-7 in Brookings and hold them to -4 rushing yards.
