Q was the better team.
By far. Goofs scored 2 fortunate goals in def lapses by Q but then Goofs sat back on their heels the last 30 minutes while Q dominated and finally deservedly broke thru late in game.

SCORE!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, baby! Q the better team tonight but can they win?

And then the missed call on UMN right after the QU penalty expired.
Yah, what a joke. Q dominating but refs not helping. Q should be on the PP.

Did he grab his head after the hit? Classic gofer flopping. He immediately assumed fetal position.

That was clean. Shoulder to shoulder. Bad fn call.
NCHC embarrassing.
Agree. Clean hit. Gofer lays on ice.

How many did UND hit in the 2011 semi?
3 possibly 4 I believe.

Could be 7 new d men and two new goalies before the dust settles.
Young group next year.
No matter what transfers we get in and what freshmen arrive, gotta think expectations at best are a winning record next season (shoot for 22 straight, NCAA tourney be damned!) and a top 4 NCHC finish (4th at best is my guess) for 1st round home ice in conf tourney! Yoy.

The only thing I can think of is this:
1) They really think the world of Vanderwahl and Jardine
2) They feel that they can win the Summit with a smaller, quicker lineup
I realize the Bison have size/height, which UND lacks, but UND beat them at the Betty in large part due to their superior athleticism and speed/quickness. That advantage over NDSU was very evident in that game.

How much were the draft beers? I recall paying $11 or $12 for a Grainbelt draft beer back in 2019.
Draft beer was $13 and $14 while a 16 oz can of beer was $16. Makes the Ralph beef look cheap.

Correct.
From UW website, Kohl Center rink size is 200' x 97.'
A little unorthodox, but not a regulation NHL sheet.
Well, I be damned. Attended 4 games at Wisco over past several seasons but did not realize their ice was non-NHL regulation size.

Good Stuff. Adding just one other:
St Cloud on Regulation Ice: 6-7-1.
St Cloud on Big Ice: 16-5-2.
Yah, they love their home big ice advantage. Accounting for their 20 home games on big ice and 1 away game at Minn also on big ice, where we’re the other 2 games on big ice played at? I did see in the last half of the season (last 18 games) Clown is just 7 - 8 - 3 despite a majority of those games having been played at home so they’re not exactly on a roll right now.

Would home sites be better for the nchc? Is the Xcel too big?
Not too big IMO but it would be if UND didn’t make it to St Paul.

Yep. flip those Niagara games and they are sitting comfortably at #13 right now.
And can pretty much say the same thing I’m guessing for UND had they not blown a 2 goal lead and lost 3-2 to AZ State and had they beaten Bemidji State in the game they tied them.

In this clip you see the Deritter player down but not how he went down for Klevin interference on 1st goal, but it sure looks like the UNO player gets up and throws Frisch on top of Deritter. He wraps his arm up high and seems to twist to throw him down.
WEE caliber takedown.

And bar owners in grand forks rejoice
I would think NCHC brass also rejoice mightily in terms of frozen face off attendance numbers. Without Duluth being there it would have just been Clown there for numbers with Mavs, CC, and Pios having just a few thousand combined IF THAT at best.

Do we have a shot at an at large bid if we beat Clown in the semis?
Such a joke that Alaska-Fairbanks with their lack luster schedule is rated like 12th in the PW well ahead of UND. Believe half their wins easily have been vs teams ranked 35 -60 in the PW. Guessing NCAA brass is in on that. Lost a bit of confidence in PW calculation process/objectivity.

Out PP anymore is lacking power. Man, we sure can at times look so unskilled and slow.

Did I hear Berry blasting Brandt for "continue talking about us"? Didn't seem light hearted, he seemed pissed.
Anyway, what was the difference tonight? They came to play. Less mistakes (still too many times when I was yelling at my TV, though). More tenacity, more speed.
To wrap up - if you don't appreciate Brandt saying your team was lackadaisical, then don't play lackadaisical.
Spot on.

As big a Sioux fan as anyone but I agree 100% with you. Brandt said what Schloss or Tim would never say so I tip my hat to him.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_players_who_played_only_one_game_in_the_NHLDid not review the list in great detail but skimmed thru it and saw 3 former UND players listed but could of missed one or two.

Embarrassing considering the circumstances and what’s at stake. Omaha hungrier and playing with more urgency and skill.
