Whose doing our broadcasting?
guessing cohen and matvik?
Per Buccigross on selection show yesterday; for certain, Ben Clymer is doing color, which is unfortunate.
As for PxP, think I heard Clay Matvick is the guy, but am not certain on him. If so, he does a fine job in my opinion. Hopefully we will hear more of him than Clymer.

Per the Herald, UND will be on the Visitor's bench on Friday...therefore, I'm guessing they will be attacking the end with the Zamboni entrance (section 123) twice against Omaha.
So much for best laid plans and simple logic, we are now stuck behind Persson or Hedquist for two periods.
Grr !!!

I guess the part that leaves me in doubt about this team is that, for all their offensive skills and snipers, the vertical part of their game seems light, as does their physicality around the other team’s net. I don’t have evidence to back that up. And can Ludwig put together 4 straight stellar outings. But hey: no team is perfect. Not even UMD
Please explain what you mean by 'vertical part of their game seems light'?
Related to team speed?

As #1 seed, UND will be in the Wild’s locker room & bench on semi-final Friday, correct?

Seems to this poster you are a fan of losing so you can play your bit. But that is probably inaccurate, and you really are eager to discuss the game of hockey rather than just bad outcomes.
We’re all UND fans, though, and just like seeing them win, regardless how we go about being a fan, so its all good.
I guess I’m one of those people who is content being a mediocre fan and not a champion fan.
'...champion fan' = fair weather fan

Definitely agree to give banged up guys a rest, for sure.
IMO...
1. Hedquist has sufficiently proven himself for this team.
2. Keep the train on the tracks - start Persson.

Maybe it is time a North Dakota team should not have to have another NCHC team in their bracket. If four teams are in a league affiliation they should be separated.
Fixed your post.
+
That likely will never happen - at least one regional tournament will likely NOT have a NCHC rep, so as to prevent what happened in 2005 (all WCHA teams in Frozen Four)
Although, at some point IF the NCHC has a down year, only two teams qualify

First; no more ‘checkbox’ marking, natty babble or other fan/critic b.s.
Second; funnel your fan ‘karma energy’ to the TEAM so they win the first shift tomorrow night.
Third; rinse and repeat step 2
P.S. Cease demanding line personnel change(s), ad infinitum. Coaches coach, players play, fans are happy or sad - these are the finite roles in this drama.

The 2016 team would blow the doors off of every team of the past 20 years or so (minus the 2011 team). But this year's team is the best since 2016. What we look like next season and beyond will depend in part on how many guys sign early.
ring-ala-ding; 2020-2021 team on line 1...

What possesses players to commit chickenshyt cross check penalties like that after the whistle I'll never know.
1. Heat of the battle. 2. Bees in their bonnets. 3. Thorns in their side.
News flash: they are human, not bots.

When I got home from the CC game, I plugged my phone into the tv and watched the replay of the UND game. Was it me, or did it appear that after every time UND scored a goal, the volume went way down as if to prevent the tv viewer from hearing how loud the UND fans were. I wasn’t going to bring this up but since people have been talking about some of the various items regarding the announcers and production, I thought I’d throw it out there. Given St. Cloud’s history with their engaging in petty little shenanigans (remember when their news paper blurred out the Indian head on the player’s Sioux jersey for an article years ago? Or the tv broadcast refusing to show the Sioux logo on the screen?-they went with the interlocking ND instead), it wouldn’t surprise me if they did some manipulation with the sound last night.
Except for the two bozos announcing, appears to be a student-run production. Guessing the faculty advisor has a score to settle with UND.

Not unprecedented to sweep in Duluth. Heck, I've been to a couple UND sweep weekends in the past 6-7 years. My favorite being when Duluth didn't score one freaking goal all weekend. A lot of sad puppies that weekend.

I believe "Fighting Whiteys" wasn't allowed in the final round. It would have been a fine tribute to that historic East Grand Forks restaurant.
Hmm, apparently someone(s) thought that 'Fighting Sioux' was NOT a fine tribute to the state's historic/original human inhabitants.

Thanks.
Next, throw American leagues into the mix, please.
Where do the USHL & NAHL fit in?
-
Both.
Show us an org chart: bottom is American high school, top is NHL, where geography is not a factor, except to exclude Europe and Russia.

Uh oh, MacDonald has been talking to Blake?...
Will he wear No. 7 at UND like Jandric and Pyke?
"I'm not too sure yet," said MacDonald, who wore No. 9 at Alaska. "I'll have to talk to the coaches and see what's available."
