Everyone runs some form of trick plays. You could make the argument a play action pass is a trick play. Every offense is trying to deceive the Defense. It is part of the UND offense. I just hope they don't run "trick"plays that result in huge loses or turnovers. (the Drive killers)

UND under this coaching staff is completely different home vs away. UND home field advantage has been worth about 20 pts. in the past As hard is the loss was 2 years ago it was a 1 score game and they went on to win the national championship. UND has won some big games at home. If the crowd is 95%+ pro UND and loud on all downs on Defense, we have a very good chance to beat them. I feel more confident in this game than i do vs USD and N Iowa as those games are on the road. 24-21 UND.

I would guess since they use their Green and White account it would be fairly easy.

I never liked the Bubba Buck's Deal. I only want student there that want to be there. Hated when they announced the winner of Bubba Bucks they the Student Section would empty out.
Need to figure out why the student are not coming or staying. Is it because they can't drink? Have a section where students that are of age can drink. (as Suggested by someone else) Better yet, they anyone of age drink an any section. Drinking is allowed everywhere in the arena except the student section. There are fan's under 21 all over the Arena, but somehow we are worried that someone under age will be drinking in the Student section. New flash there is under age drinking going on in other places in the arena.
If Student want to leave to get in line for the hockey game, than give fans that are there until the end of the football game priority access to the hockey game. Maybe a ticket to get into the game from another entrance 10 minutes before the other student are allowed to enter. i think variation of this have happened in the past.

I actually enjoyed Listening to Lee. I didn't always agree with what he said, but he always gave a change to people that called in and disagreed with him. He talked a lot about local issues and youth sports in the area.
Brian Michael is unlistenable. All of his jokes are stolen from KFAN.
Noah is great. For a guy with as little experience as he did to step in and do as good of a job as he is doing is impressive.
I wish they could get Pat Sweeny out of the news room for an hour or two to do a sports show figuring all local content.
Gage would be horrible on regular Radio. His pod cast is good for a pod cast, would not transfer over to radio.
Lastly KNOX is never going to get away from Politics.

They play KC, but yeah no way it is being played at Apollo. Would like to see the Alerus center set up for Softball. It looks like the next event in the Arena is April 15th. Red River and Central could also us it to get some games knocked out. Heck you could host some Neutral site games from Fargo and Devils Lake.

In 5 years, St. Thomas will be a factor in Division I hockey. You cannot say the same thing about Miami.
Miami was a factor in Division 1 hockey before joining the NCHC. As far as st Thomas being a factor I have no idea what happens 5 years from now. St Thomas is not going to any other conference. I’d wait and see if they become a top team in CCHA. Than maybe invite them.
Also comparing the summit league to Nchc is comparing apples and bowling balls. NCHC has been the best conference in hockey since it was created. Summit league is a mid major than will never sniff a national championship.

St Thomas needs to prove it. Its not like if the NCHC doesn't invite them they are going somewhere else. It's basically NCHC or CCHA for them. They need to prove they have what it takes to play in the NCHC. As of now they would weaken the league.

No, I'm talking about a NCHC Tourney. i.e this year all teams expected SCSU, Denver, with W. Michigan report to Omaha this year. Play 5 team tourney with winner getting the autobid.

Would never happen. Give your top 12 in Pairwise week off. Remaining teams go to Arena of highest remaining team and play for Conference auto bid. Gets the Conference extra bid and the teams already in get week off.

Have we lost Recruits because they have got an NIL deal somewhere else? Unless you are going to move UND out of Grand Forks you are going to deal with same limitations no matter what conference they are in.

I would much rather have Minnesota, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Penn State come to REA than St Cloud tech and omaha and cc...call me weird.
Unlike the NCHC the Big10 quickly reversed course and brought their post season to campus instead of playing in front of 500 people in Joe Louis Arena....
Did you watch the Minny Michigan game....those two teams are light years ahead of us and alot of the other ncha teams....
UND's problem this year has nothing to do with NIL or being in the big ten.
Minnesota fans don't even prefer to play those team and they are in the conference. Sort of Miss playing Wisconsin & Minnesota, but the rest do nothing for me.
Post season on Campus feels very small time to me.
MInny and michigan are light years ahead of a lot of teams this year. The were light years ahead last year and a team from the NCHC once again hung the NCAA banner. Nevermind the fact UND went into Minn and split the series with them so it's not like they can't compete. On the other hand did you see how UND was manhandled by Denver this year?

I'm interested in why all of a sudden people want to be in the Big 10. UND is not going to get the Big 10 money, so what else is there. Big 10 does not care about Hockey. Besides money I don't see the upside of Big Ten hockey. NCHC is having a down year, but is still the premier conference on a year to year basis.

Leave it the way it is. IMO the way the WCHA and Big 10 does it, it doesn't feel like a conference tourney. If I team loses in the Quarterfinals than they are off for 3 weeks, way too long. Dragging the tourney out an extra weekend seems too much.
If the #1 Seed host final weekend, how many fans are going to travel to the post season tourney on less than a weeks notice. Also if the #1 seed loses in the semi's the Championship game will have no atmosphere.
If I had my way I would kick Miami and W. Michigan out. 6 team conference with all teams making the trip to St Paul. Also 6 teams would allow more Non-conference games and every team playing each other home and away.

We seem to be good at put into situations that demonstrate flaws in the system. And not just in hockey.
Hopefully a east coast team. Only way the NCAA will chance to format to having the #1 seeds host is if an East coast team gets sent out west and the #1 seed gets knocked off by the #4 seed hosting team. Hoping for Quinnipiac. Their coach will blow a gasket.

Not suger coating anything. Was responding to a quote that even with $1 tickets they only got a few hundred fans.
I understand womens hockey being gone. I don’t like it. I also will never under the pure hate by UND fans of the womens hockey program. -

On average by season over the course of 13 seasons UND drew 864 fans per game(ranging from 309 per game in 06-07 to the high water mark of 1485 in 11-12). the cost of those tickets varied from free on up to I am sure $15-20/game.
You had said they sold $1 tickets and only got a couple hundred fans. That was not true. I said I went to a couple $1 games and there were 4-5h fans there. I don't have the time to look, but if they only drew over 4k one time and you looked than so be it. Seems to me like the $1 games were pretty full.
$1 games will almost always draw better than a free game. For $1 people think they are getting a deal. For Free they think they are getting a worthless product. (insert joke here)

If it works it is a gutsy call by the coach. If it fails than the Fan's hold it against the coach for 2+ years.
