I don’t feel great about this game, hope it’s not a repeat of 2017.

I was at that game as well as the debacle in Flagstaff in 2018. I never feel great about important road games played by this program.

  2. Is anyone else having trouble with the NCHC TV subscription process? When I select my chosen subscription package I'm asked for my email address. Then I'm told I can't proceed because my email address is already in use. When I try to send an email to sidearmsports the same thing happens.

One of my major takeaways from the 360 pod was that defensively they made zero checks against NDSU. Trust the play call, keep it simple, play fast.

Tough not to be extremely confident in this group. Momentum of course, but the confidence these players have to have right now.

At the beginning of the year you saw these two games and sort of cringed. Didn’t appear to be ideal. I love it now. Gives this program an opportunity to double down on itself. Win and you graduate to the next FCS level.

A review of the und/ndsu game I listened to attributed the downfall of ndsu to their quarterback play which made me wonder if they had actually watched the game.  The biggest factor in the outcome of that game was the und offensive line. If we see a repeat performance by that group on Saturday our likelihood of winning is very good.

So, for streamers out there, I am assuming you need another steaming app (like Hulu) for watching the regular televised ESPN networks? Or are some of you augmenting a traditional cable/satellite service with ESPN+ streaming?  Just curious what people do.  I am super old school and just have Midco cable subscription, but do sometimes watch available content on a computer (like at work, HAHA) :)

Yes, to stream the espn channels it is necessary to use a streaming service like Sling which is what I use. To get espn+ you must download the ESPN app onto a streaming device like a roku or a smart phone.  Since I live in Colorado I have no choice but to stream ESPN+ or the midcosportsplus app to watch UND sports.

The easiest way to stream espn3 is with a Sling TV Orange subscription. With other streaming services like hulu and youtube tv, you must go through the rigamarole of enabling the espn app to pull espn3 from the streaming service and imbedding it within espn+ . The best way I found of accomplishing this rather convoluted task is to follow the directions given in a website called "grounded reason".

I'm sure that's all clear as mud, and I'm still not as certain as I'd like to be as to what the viewing options for the UNI game are.

And when I click into it....it shows ESPN+

I just went through the same exercise of checking to see if it's been changed from espn3 to espn+. Got that screen too. Could be a mistake because I've seen a lot of inaccurate listings of game broadcasters this year.

Congrats to all.  Hope you mixed in a few waters between all the postgame beverages and aren't suffering too much today.

USD vs UND in a few weeks looking much more important than anyone would have thought prior to the start of the season.

  7. I've waited patiently for this program to build into a contender over the last ten years. There have been glimmers of hope along the way. I bought into the hype that this was going to be the year things all came together, the culmination of the gradual buildup. The opposite has turned out to be the case. The team has regressed and the most important player, the QB, has been front and center in that regression. This team is mired in permanent mediocrity and inconsistency under the current regime.

Brady O leads Winnipeg rushing with 118 yards and a TD. Turned on the game and the first play was a big first down by the Manitoba Moose!

What network do you watch CFL games? It was my understanding they are no longer on ESPN+.

Hoosman got some looks last night for Chargers.
    12 carries for 43 yards.

The broadcaster said he was from North Dakota State. Annoying.

Last year Midco also streamed broadcast and streamed an away game or two that wasn't available on ESPN+ (a seperate UND specific broadcast).

On fightinghawks.com all games other than the Boise State and Northern Iowa games are shown to be broadcast by Midco. I would assume that would extent to Midco Sports Plus....but I have a long history of incorrect assumptions.

  11. The schedule for the 2023 football season has been updated at fightinghawks.com to include television coverage for each game. ESPN+ is not listed as covering any of the games. Only the Boise State and N. Iowa games are shown as being covered nationally on FS1 and ESPN3, respectively. The first weeks full schedule is out on the ESPN website, and very few FCS games are indicated to be broadcast on ESPN+. Does anyone have any insight as to whether ESPN+ is pulling away from comprehensively covering the FCS, or is this simply a situation where broadcast scheduling has not been completed? The current TV schedule as it stands is potentially bad news for those of us out of the Midco footprint.

They are playing music between plays. Settle down.  Go for a walk or something.

The opposing fans are complaining that their stadium DOESN'T do it.

My opinion is music should not be played in a football stadium regardless of who is on offense. Probably in the minority on this concern.
