    Easy big downtown business owner.

You never answered my question. Any info about businesses lobbying for the change? Grand Forks planning decisions usually come from the bureaucrats in city hall. Not a downtown business owner, but weary of people blaming them for stuff our government does.

Did you see anything about business owners lobbying for this? Yeah, they’re always getting something for free.

This guy...doesn't have a freaking clue. Team looked bad tonight. No scorers except Klabo.

They haven't won the conference tournament since 2014. That is 3 (going on 4) years. That is my "logic".

And I don't think blowing late game leads on a regular basis is "fun to watch". Neither are all the turnovers.

They have talent, but they are grossly underachieving right now.

So your “logic” is still: if they didn’t do it last year, they can’t do it this year.  Glad you’re not Brew. I’m sure he doesn’t think that way, or any other coach, for that matter.

Theyre 5-0 at home. Unless you were at the away games, all you’ve seen in person were wins. They can make up for the two close conference road losses when they get Idaho and EWU at home. They’re going to get better. They have been fun to watch.

You mean like they did last year? Oh wait.......:silly:

So, if they didn’t last year, they can’t this year? Not following your “logic.”

They’ve got 3 excellent players, Klabo, Freije, and Morton. They’ve got 4 that might be good by the end of the year: Moton, Dooley, Dailey, and Reinke. Dooley is the big wild card. If she blossoms, it would solve our height shortage and give us another great competitor. I think they’ll be fun to watch—-already are.

Agreed. I am sick and tired of this team underachieving. Brewster has talent to work with, but they can't hold leads and lose games they shouldn't lose. You rarely saw one of Roebuck's teams blow big leads late in the game.

I think after Jones, Brewster is #2 on the coaching hot seat.

Brew always starts slow and gets better as the ladies learn the system. They’ll win the conference tourney.

No one said they shouldn't exist, stop being dramatic.

THANK YOU! Someone understands what the original discussion was actually about.

You missed my implication. SU and Gopher fans don't want to hear about any other programs, as if those programs don't have a right to exist. Thats how some on here are sounding. Not being dramatic. However you're being Jackassian, as Barreiro would say. Now back to committed recruits...'

Congrats on the high paying job, and that frequently accomplished 12th place tie in the tourney.

Is your successful business perhaps involved in participation banner production?

Cheers on you December win and tie.

There are a lot of posters on here that are sounding like the Gopher & Bison fans we love to hate. Other programs have a right to exist. Other programs can be as good as, or better than, UND in any given year. Other programs have even gotten recruits that we would have liked to have had, or that we whiffed on, i.e. Lizzotte from GFRR. They also have a right to be proud of their programs. Other programs, SCSU, since we've been denigrating them,  are better than, and more highly rated than UND right now. We hope to catch and pass them before the year is over, but we are where we are.  Sheesh.

Bison has yet to beat us in the DI era. There isn’t much excitement on an OOC game. It’s not the Roebuck vs Ruley of old. Bison are horrible but getting better. Next year we should be able to dominate them in both games, and with a conference title on the line it should draw more excitement.

I would have to respectfully disagree on most counts. I think the Bison are decent. Jacobsen, their pg, played very well as did several others. They have several big girls that are good and going to get better. They’re very young, almost all freshmen and sophomores. I’d say their new coach has recruited well and they will be very tough to beat next year. They weren’t easy this year—-game was tied at the end of three quarters.

As for excitement, while it wasn’t Roebuck vs Ruley, both teams played hard and the crowd was into the game. Very fun game to watch.

Most that charge a little will give you a drink. I have a parking pass but take the bus occasionally. They are well worth the convenience. You get dropped off, with a very short walk to the door and after the game you walk back to the bus.

    Trust me I know.

    There could be worse fates.

Suffice it to say that, unlike our friends to the south, when there's a football game going on in SLC, all the talent isn't on the field. (As a certain ESPN announcer so appropriately said a few years back about SU.)

  12. SLC was beautiful. Rice-Eccles was an amazing stadium, with an incredible view. Downtown very cool. Most lasting impression tho? SLC has the most beautiful women in the country, bar none. (Ok, wasn't watching the game all the time.) Send your boys to school there!

  13. If we're concerned about "equality," why don't we talk real equality? Why don't we eliminate "men's" and "women's" sports and just have sports. We could get rid of Title IX completely and athletes like the Twins could make NHL salaries, not the "pittance" they're getting now. Or could they? Would that be unfair? Or by having women's sports the way they are now, do we just essentially have affirmative action for women? I know I will be labeled a sexist for these remarks, but we only have "equality" now in the ways the Twins, and others like them, want it. They want "equal" pay, which, as has been pointed out, is actually far more than equal, for playing a sport that has no fans; for playing a sport that raises no revenue; and for playing a sport that a high school male player could dominate.

I'll go back to my cave now.

Agree 100% Only someone in the ivory tower with a jaundiced view of the world, like Kelley, would have seen that as anything but a positive.

    Love this!

Unfortunately, for the rest of us, it appears that the twins have discovered the power of political correctness and how to harness, or at least point, the liberal press.

The twins seem to feel very entitled and self-important.

If our elected officials (state legislature) and our state employees hired to handle our public institutions (Kennedy & Faison) have to bow to the twins and social media morons, God help us all!

Looks like Ott may have reconfirmed his commitment last night. Or else this guy is just really behind.

Gophers’ linebacker recruit Bryson Jackson flipped his oral commitment to Baylor on Sunday, he said on Twitter.

Does this late change affect Ott's situation with UM at all? Were they looking at him as a LB?

    Good to know... thanks.

If you don't think playing the best Fcs team in the country and having the game on the most TV's posable is good for your program.  than your program is destined to fail.

posable? than? Did you mean possible? Then? I wonder if you even graduated from Moo U. Wait, it wouldn't make any difference!

Quit acting like you are already equals. ..and it might.  81 and 6> one nice season...

We've always been more than equal--that's why your fanbase is so obsessed with all things UND. There is the time period since both teams turned D-1. But, there's also all the rest of the 100+ years, where UND's record vs Moo U is 62-45-3. That must be the reason for all the buffalo fan hypersensitivity about UND---they just can't stand that the flagship university has basically owned them in head to head competition!

  19. Let's lobby for the 8 seed. (You can lobby, right? The NCAA is at least as corrupt as Congress so it should be okay.) We want SU as soon as possible to end their season!! Go Hawks/Sioux---SU has an inappropriate T-shirt for both.
