I am not either. I watched their games this past weekend, they're a good hockey team. They played a bad Minnesota team and lost to a sub-.500 team.
I agree that Mankato is good hockey team. And right now I cant say with 100% certainty that UND is better than Mankato. But his argument against voting for UND is who they have played the last two weeks. Tough to argue with that. Although anybody that has watched CC the past two weeks knows they are a MUCH better hockey team then their record shows.
With that logic how can he say Mankato is the number one team. Other than beating a struggling Gopher team, the Mavs haven't beaten anybody noteworthy since before Thanksgiving.
It sure is fun to talk about though....

If you think Ausmus is going to sit.....you haven't watched a second of this season.
-
Would like to see the video of that. Normally a shot to the leg wouldn't draw a whistle in college hockey.
-
I thought enough action was going on around him to maybe cause an official to blow a whistle. Will have to rewind the DVR and watch that sequence of events again.
What was his injury?

Unless Olson has some real minor form of mono, I expect him to be in and out for a while. Those relapse-like sick/weak days can be hard on a kid. My stepdaughter had it as a HS senior, and it seemed to take forever before those days were completely over.
I agree....he might be back at practice, but I doubt he is involved with any contact.

Chris Vandevelde had one against Alaska-Anchorage during the 2008-2009 season.
-
I would think his linemate Chris Jensen must have had one at some point.
Good call....Just found it. He had one his last game of his college career, against the Badgers (1986).
-
Brian Williams.....1986 against UMD.
-
The difference between the "3rd" and "4th" lines is in the faceoff circle.
-
7:30 left in the 1st at Mariucci...
Gophers - 17 shots on goal
Badgers - ZERO
Textbook rope-a-dope.
-
Wondering at the lines... no Simonson? Olson still out sick?
My guess is we won't see Olson until Denver at the earliest.
-
A couple more to add to the list.
Rastislav Spirko against Michigan Tech 05-06 season.
TJ Oshie had 3 career hat tricks....the last was against Michigan in 2007 in the West Regional tournament.
-
You know who's really tough? The ankle team.
I agree...the team I really hate is the anus team....what a bunch of asses.

Was watching through these doors and they mentioned OD joined the hat trick club. Anyone have the all time list and who has the most?
Don't have the list .....but Ben Cherski has the most (17).

Seriously I would be suprised to NOT see the greens be used at home. At this point it would be simply foolish to not wear the greens with the promos.
Niagra must agree to it first.

Haha I was trying to spin a positive, one game I watched he won a ton. I stand corrected.
I wasn't trying to be negative. I like LJ....would like his game more if he worked harder.
-
I'm still high on schmaltz. He came in as an offensive defenseman and that's exactly what he's been. As for LJ, not exactly sure what type of player he will end up being. Judging purely on what I've seen (and that's a ton of games) I think he may be more of a third line player (and I was really high on him coming in). He does win draws but each game I watch he starts looking more like grinder that doesn't go very hard. He tends to take lazy stick penalties at terrible times and he simply doesn't hit the stat sheet like a top 6 forward. Also, his footspeed must improve. Hopefully he puts it together by his junior/senior year. We're going to need him.
He wins draws? (.487) for the year.

Will firing Yeo make the goaltending better? Or maybe just hire a coach that can also play goalie.

Looks like Wisconsin is going to beat BU...3-1 late in the third.
Jinxed that....BU ties it up with 3 seconds left in the third.
-
Miami and St. Cloud tied 1-1
Denver and Omaha tied 3-3
Ohio State beats Penn State 5-4 (OT)
Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan tied 3-3 (OT)
WMU beats Notre Dame 4-2
Providence beats Brown 3-2 (OT)
Mankato leads LSSU 5-3

Valley News Live has sent like 5 or 6 reporters not just sports reporters to cover the trip and pregame stuff. I wonder how many would be there if UND goes? I hate that channel that claims to cover the "valley". Yuck!!
Good point, Jan Brady.
