Yep. The problem is from the neck up. They'll have another talented roster next year, but can they develop the mindset needed to win at the end of the year?

but as simple as that sounds it is not like flipping a switch.....

Another candidate for the most ridiculous post of the year.

meh, I never win anything...   don't get me wrong I like Brad, just not sure he will take us where we want to...  it's a tall task with many facets.   It would be curious if Brad gets the same treatment as Hakstol, by that I mean people are less furious and disappointed with his time on the helm.

That's a really tough comparison to make.
Rube had a 149–186–11 record in his 10 seasons coaching at UND (.447) and didn't win a single championship of any kind.
    Meanwhile, Berry has a 206–104–33 record in 9 seasons (.649) and has won 7 championships (5 Penna's, 1 NCHC tourney, 1 natty).

A more accurate comparison might be Bob May or Barry Thorndycraft...they each won one national title as well...but May only coached 2 seasons while Thorndycraft coached 5 seasons.

Fair enough,  I guess following the likes of Gasparini, Blais, and Hakstol tainted my view....

If I had to guess his initial coaching might be if any of his 4 kids under the age of 10 start playing sports. Seems like the kind of guy who will want to spend as much time with his family as possible when he is done playing.

you are most likely correct,   perhaps he could have a consulting role as Director of Enthusiasm, bring him in  as a solution for end of season woes

  5. It's pretty damn wierd that bothe Bubba & Bubs had a peak in the season on a "feather in the hat" goal and a total down the leg following that point, like a Hollywood script.

its not how many minutes they would/could get but rather how scard the other teams MVP's would be and not want to be around the goal crease if those guys were out there....sometimes a common 2 minute penalty and some chirping can go a long way.

You missed my point. You're living in the past.

did commodore or greene leave people open in the front of the net with paying for it...before or after whislte or both

    its a mindset

for the sake of argument, if you could teleportish Greene and Commie back to ice for the current team, how many penalty minutes would the get in a season?  would they make it to the post season or be sitting game for incurring penalties?  the game, for better or worse, is not like that anymore.

Inability to have a homegrown goalie is the one flaw I see the past few years. Bot having that puts pressure on everything else. The other thing, and it's painful to admit, but the Ralph was the end of the blue collar culture of our team and to an extent the fan base. We are now the cake eaters.  7 titles in the 42 seasons prior to its opening  One in the 23 since .

So the Ralph is where players go to become cake eaters?
